Vibe high-fidelity earplugs. I can still hear someone talking if they are facing me and a normal conversational distance away, but it dampens a lot of ambient noises. Also good for the car. Every little rattle in the car makes me crazy. It's safer to wear light ear protection than to be turned around trying to get whatever is rattling to stop.

Leggings as pants/under pants has helped so much with adding that pressure I need to sense myself in space and feel grounded. Sometimes I need to add sensory info to "cut off" other stuff that's overwhelming. Thank you for your videos always!

Discovering noise cancelling headphones was a life-changer for me when going outside - but also just earplugs, I wouldn't last very long in public without one of them...

I'm currently attempting to fix my Cowin E7 headphones, they're my favorite things I've ever owned

Excellent video! I love your fedora and I love those glasses clip-ons! So stylish. 😎 I also love the idea of spinner rings. Definitely gonna check them out.
For driving I use polarized glasses, like Ray-Bans, because they're very good at filtering reflections of off cars and road during sunrise or sunset. In other situations, I prefer orange tinted glasses, especially in the summer. There may be better filters, but I haven't tried them yet.
I also make sure I wear lots of layers when going out, so I have options, cause I'm prone to feeling cold by default, but can also overheat easily during physical work.
I have issues with using headphones, because loosing my sense of hearing of the environment induces anxiety, but I never tried noise cancelling headphones. Maybe worth a try?

I also feel a bit anxious about not being able to hear, but I'm going to get some noise cancelling headphones anyway and hopefully I'll get used to it. I find regular headphones and earplugs don't make any difference. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your comment, but noise cancelling headphones are _more_ sound-blocking than regular headphones.

Great video, i use theraspecs, regular sunglasses, visor hat, vibes earplugs, flair audio earplugs, apple air pods with built in brown noise and portable circle lights that have a colour remote :) enjoyed watching this to know I'm not alone!

All rings are toys to me. I also fidget with my my work badge/keys on a lanyard. I bring my crochet projects to meetings.
I have noise canceling earphones and I recently bought some Loop ear plugs but I haven't tried them yet.
Thanks for the video and recommendations.

I get visual disturbances from anything with repetition in it but especially if it's high contrast. Checked shirts, checked floor tiles, railings, radiators, cobbles, gravel... stuff like that. I've spent a long time hunting autistic YT + Twitter for references to this but finally found out about Irlen syndrome. Apparently coloured lenses in glasses can help with this too so am gonna go get tested + find out which colour'll hopefully help :)

Essential oils help me to relax when I’m feeling overwhelmed in my environment. I carry a few small bottles with me that I gently waft into my nose. Lavender and peppermint are my favorite! They also help ease headaches and insomnia. I also have an oil diffuser in my room. Disclaimer: Essential oils are very concentrated, so don’t inhale them too intensely! And they should always be diluted with a carrier oil (like coconut, olive, or jojoba) before applying to your skin.

Also, the pop socket on the back of my phone is fantastic. I fiddle with it constantly and no one thinks anything of it.

I’ve seen videos on how to make stim bottles- I was at Hobby Lobby and found something very similar in the Christmas decor. It is this snowman that is like a snow globe, with glitter and color changing lights, that I like to look at BC it’s super soothing. I will try to remember to post a video of it on my page.

This is weird I hate things inside my ears and love the muffes style headphones. How do I not be embarrassed to wear them in public. I purchased 3M ones and love it and it made it better.

I've just gotten some Pro For Sho earmuffs and I'm really liking them. Haven't gone out in public with them on but something I'd like to share is think of how much your earmuffs will benefit you and that's way more important than what others may think. Nothing to be embarrassed about. Most people may think they're just headphones anyway.

    • @LelaBria
      @LelaBria Před 3 měsíci

Using Bluetooth over ear headphones with ANC (noise cancelling) is a way to do earmuffs without something as obvious ear defenders. Lots of people wear headphones out no one would know the difference if they have music capability as well (whether you use the music or not is up to you!)

I would have to move my legs and chew a pen lid as I grew up.... I just can't focus enough energy to hide those 2 things and I was always pushed out bcoz I can't keep still so yea your not allowed to get up amd pace on a meeting when your nervous.... I cicome out my shell so I just always avoid situations where I can't be myself which it actually I like to be on my own mostly, when I do need to be around others its only mainly in my flat I dont go iut unless it's dark or to go to shops but I'm wearing sunglasses and ear head phones, people stare at me so I just go out when its goy dark

  • @givmarcham7915

I don't have a good grasp on coping with the sensory of people talking over each other, it's the main thing that bothers me at work. can't do the headset thing. Sunlight of 3rd shift is also rough, my only solution is to go back to 3rd shift as soon as possible.
