Shred on Shredder!
I love your videos so much, thanks for everything! I'm sometimes confused that you don't have millions of subscribers, because this channel feels like it. I really consider trying out shred school because I love snowboarding as much as you do :D I'm just always sad that I don't live somewhere near to snowboard every weekend. That would be so great...
Awesome, thank you 🙏 we will get there 🚀
and you can always consider moving... it's what many of us have done who just can't stop thinking about the shred
Get a seasonal job on a mountain
This channel is highly underrated and should have 10x more followers. The way he explains is outstanding. Wish I could also live in this area, however I am now 50 and probably a bit late 😉 Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪, Marcus
It's never too late .. unless you are dead lol
ed i love you, thanks so much for videos they've helped me tremendously
Thanks for the great vid!
This channel is NEXT LEVEL!! You make it soo easy, it’s incredible. I applied what I learnt in your videos and advanced more in one day than I have all season!!! Your so good at explaining every detail that it makes me very confident when I hit the slopes. Thank you for putting time and energy into making these videos 🙏
Thank you Joe, love to hear that
Thanks for this. Great breakdown and lots of fun practice ahead!
Very welcome!
Finally a video to get me comfortable in the park! Very clean and concise.
Great to hear!
ive never done snow/ski still wached it
I’m learning how to do grabs but I haven’t learned shifties yet. I struggle with nose grabs as I feel like I’m not flexible enough to bring my nose up despite straightening my back leg. Besides nose and tail grabs, I have yet to try a stalefish but I think I need to learn the shifty first to make this grab easier to do.
I think I’ll use these drills when I go to the next size up jump.
I struggle with grabs as well but I think it all stems from not pulling your legs up enough. sometimes its too many layers of clothes too though.
shifty definitely helps with the stalefish. Some grabs require a lot of flexiblity - method, crail etc... but i would be surprised if that was your issue on nose grabs. Might just need to pull the front leg in a little more
This was a great tutorial! 👍🏽
Can tell a lot of work went into it
Thanks! Shout out to the Shred School team
Thanks for the advices!
You bet!
Good shit broski .. ima tweek sum grabz at mammoth soon 🎉😮
I hade been snowboarding since 88, had almost every park trick short of 900s. Took 10+ years off(family priorities)…trying to get back in…but lost my edge control going into even the smallest kickers, flailing a bit, kinda thought muscle memory kick in…not….humbling
I feel ya, did the same thing. Just need to get some reps in and a lot of it will come back
Awesome videos, thank you
Thanks for watching!
Great video as always! I'm approaching jumps with a new technique this year...I've always lost control in the air, probably from lack of speed and two foot jumping off the jump. I've found that doing the boardercross method has helped me build confidence. Thanks for the tips.
love to hear that technique is helping build up the confidence
Super helpful break down
love to hear it 👊
Can't believe the seasons going to be coming to an end soon already
😭 it goes so fast
Really got hit hard yesterday with the warm weather and slush
@@gavinknotz3288 I love in NH,we got over a foot like 2 days ago so should be good for a little
awesome stuff you are the best
You are the best too
Good video great tips 🤙🤙
Appreciate it!
Love how you break everything down. I am advanced in free riding but a total beginner with jumps and tricks. I’m in Aspen and the park set up here isn’t the flowiest but I know I’m just avoiding hitting it more bcuz if the learning curve.
For sure, just give yourself permission to do the most beginner level stuff in the park and don't push too hard. Ride the smallest park, over and over. You'll progress faster than you think and want to ride some bigger stuff/try harder tricks after you get comfortable
@@ShredSchool1 Off to Steamboat for the next three days. Will spend some time in the park for sure 🤙
About to do a week in Steamboat woooo. Plan is to move out west from Florida before next season
My gloves have those loops to hang stuff on too, what are his gloves attached too?
Hello, what is the angle of the bindings please ?
15, -12
Idk if its just me but i feel like the indy grab is easier to do than a shifty. I get okay hangtime on medium jumps and indy grab is what i go for. Mybe because im not use to moving the board in the air is prob why shifty feels weird and harder to do. But these tips are amazing, i just got back today from snowboarding and this vid came in clutch. Thanks!
It for sure is easier to do an Indy in the air, I don't think that's just you. I believe he was showing it in this order, because once you have the shifty down, it'll open up a lot more opportunities for your grabs. So although you may be comfortable with an Indy grab now, it'll be harder to leave the Indy grab and move towards other grabs without owning the shifty.
random question - have been thinking of getting the crewzer at 180lbs, should I get the 160w or 156w for half park, half everything else?
Depends how hard you ride. I'd probably go for the 160, the crewzer is pretty soft once it's broken in. Love this board for everything though, highly recommend
@@ShredSchool1 thanks for the opinion super helpful. usually lean towards the bigger board but wasn't sure with this one. thanks!
do you always ollie on jumps? what about the "pop"?
nvm you talk about it in the video XD
Hey Ed. Brand new sub here. I’m loving your vids. Im a new fitness CZcamsr and wondered whether youd like to see me make a snowboard specific video?
👊
This guy looks like Joel Zimmerman's (deadmau5) brother rofl
"Do it for days and weeks"...... I am on a board 5 days every year.......
Then you will probably never get to the level where you are hitting big kickers with style. Which is fine, but you can't expect to get good without putting the time in.
