Try These 5 Easy Box Tricks In The Terrain Park This Weekend
Where i am at the only jump available to me is a table top on a dry ski slope do you have any tips thanks
I rode with Flows late 90's and moved on to SP Labs later. This season I got my Clew bindings and simply love them and would not trade them for anything
Im absolute trash
Not gonna happen
Hello what’s the difference between traversing and going sideways
I lived in Chile and rode Valle Nevada several times. Sadly you have to go up and down a gnarly road to get there and accommodations are crazy expensive and sparse. I’ve always wanted to get over to the resorts in Argentina however. Been to Patagonia several times, just never in winter.
I just saw this on my feed lol
Reverse camber does suck
Snowboarders must be stopped…dirty long hair poachers😂
Seen enough people bang their heads on the snow this year and this is my first full season, 48 days. Just started last season with 6 days. I would have had more if not me slamming the back of my head twice in a row 3 days apart near the beginning of the season. My neck and shoulders was stiff for over a month. I don't think I'm even fully recovered. So yes, helmets are going to save heads no matter what. Just let the people decide if they want to or not. Twice saw two guys laying in the snow dazed cause they didn't wear helmets. The current most memorable one is one teenage kid was with a bunch of friends hitting a roller that was pretty steep. I was chilling in the snow resting my legs. I look around and his friends were huddled around him. His face was dazed and it took a good few mins for him to get it all together. No helmet just a beanie. Goggles were flung off his face and beanie in hand. The adrenaline and friends being around probably got him conscious enough to ride safely down. Mind you this was on a green run at Northstar.
I just turned 49. I've skied for years, and just gave snowboarding a try for the first time this year. I've gone twice so far. Not once did I feel the need to sit in the snow to strap in after my initial strap in. I sat down for that one because I had no idea what I was doing. Now I've got my first setup, a Jones Mountain Twin, 32 lashed double BOA boots and Union Force Bindings sitting in my closet waiting for their maiden voyage next winter. Probably the main thing that sucks about east coast living... The very short snow season
Step on all the way
Switched to Burton Step On and rode with them all winter. They are amazing! Definitely not going back to strap on bindings.
In my opinion when falling I just go limp and that makes it hurt so much less rather than tensing up and trying to catch myself which actually will hurt more.
K2 sucks, you need to try the clew or burton, or even the supermatic
I think I learned most of this in the countless classes I took in the 2000s, but wanted a refresher and this delivered. New info to me was to push against the rear binding with your back foot. I’m going to start every session going forwards with a bit of one footed push and glide and stops. Thx!
K2’s since the early 90’s,..never looked back. 🏂
Step on bindings for losers?!!! Oh Okay 🙄
Snow surfing 😅😅
All things in life arnt for certain, the only certainty is if you snowboard your gonna catch an edge…hard
Buckhouse hypes crew bindings. Enough said
Just show snowboarding
I'm glad you put park and summit into different categories because I'd say I'm intermidiate/advanced at park features, and by the requirements here maybe advanced/expert at summit riding. But one thing that should be talked about in this video is stamina, where I live I mainly ride small mountains with short runs and get a break from the punishment of a powder run or choppy snow within minutes. Whenever I go to a bigger mountain I'll find myself gasping for breath halfway through the run; and that's where you realize that no matter what tricks you have locked in on the rails, no matter how many rotations you can get on a jump, or even what variety of conditions you've rode in, snowboarding takes just as much of a degree of athletic training as any other sport if you wanna go big.
my friend Paul's favorite trick is a smoking indie grab
I challenge you to remake this video with the Burtons......... no comparison with the K2s
Never understood why they weren't more widespread, but the Flow-like bindings offer the best of both world : Fast, standing-up, while-already-riding get in ; and strap support and adjustable stiffness. (seems like the new supermatics are good in this area too)
intermediate
advanced
clew bindings works the best
I did a double backflip today in the park with Step ins. Not just middle-aged guys who use them
After my first powder run I messaged my brother and told him I was dedicating my life to powder.
Burtons are totally different… and high backs work on Burtons…. I’ve modified them with longer screws to get immediate back edge… and have never come out of bindings… I’ve not went 50’ because I’m almost 50 and broken up a bit but Burtons work can speak on others…
i disagree with ollie'ing off a kicker - the kicker is already sending you up, and ollie'ing off the lip increases your chances of being in the back seat. Just my 2 cents, otherwise, awesome vid.
As a loser that rode them for 3 years. definitely for losers... and definitely great for the majority of snowboarders. I do prefer my supermatics since I can wear better boots.but anyone that doesn't like quick bindings is just a hater
Y'all still can't keep up.
great video - i've seen from other tutorials that popping off the jump with both feet isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as your nose if past the lip. Popping with both feet off the lip can bring some stability, would you agree or no?
lmao.. great video.. honestly, you can just strap in on the lift and have the best of both worlds.. just do it on a not crowded day and don't make eye contact with the liftie at the top when you dismount the chair .. XD
I've got some Clew binding on pre-order for next season. As I do most of my boarding at indoor centres in the UK, quick entry will make a big difference to me.
the main reasons i dont swich to step ins is i think spending that much on something "clever" that is supposed to do the same thing isnt worth it, i like union binding and they dont make step ins, i like being able to ajust the responsiveness of my bindings due to how much i ratchet them, and i dont really care if putting on my snowboard is more convenient. they are cool they just don't seem worth the switch
Excellent video. Thanks so much. Currently on hour 7 of teaching myself to snowboard because it's so late in the season and there are no instructors! The fear of speed is what's holding me back the most right now. This was super helpful 🤍
Glad it helped! You got this
I use Clew, love them. Be nice to hear your opinions on those
Im sorry but grabbing outside the bindings should not be considered a "proper method" its basically the tindy version of a method, and its kinda dumb that its accepted.
you should try the burton step-ons apparently they are better
100% for people that don't want progression or shredding, or bad physical con, who find excuses
tramp and mini ramp
I'm an old fart and I like Burton Step-on bindings. I had K2 clickers. Metal plates on the bottom of boots were freezing my feet. I may try Clew one day.
It's utterly silly to judge step on based on the K2 clickers which is basically not radically different from what they had 25 years ago. Useless highback and all. Burton Step Ons on the other hand checks all the boxes of a modern binding, and its only difference with traditional straps is that Step Ons are TOO responsive for some people.
im in between expert and advanced
I'm an intermediate, because I've been riding for 30+ years, can carve, go down black diamonds or ride in pow without an issue, but am too old to do jumps. Also, arrivals on chairlifts and flat stretches stress me out :) I usually ride in Val d'Isère or Val Thorens (Alps).

My back foot/push foot has popped out a couple of times, but it’s easy to catch and fix before shit hits the fan. It’s likely an issue of not locking in properly before the run, more than it is my boot actually popping out of the lock. So I boil it down to a rare user error
I ride K2 Clickers btw
