- How did I do this? I will not tell you, so that you can ponder over my glorious test footage! Haha, just kidding. FIRST read this blog, the lady knows her stuff and is 5 billion times smarter than me:

Set your cameras to 60i (HDV on the HV40/30/20's) and shutter speed at 1/1000 [TV mode]. AND...this is the important part...you need AWESOME lighting, such as a bright sunny day (due to the shutter speed you're shooting at). Follow the Blog! After Effects settings: 24fps, squared pixels, rendered uncompressed avi. Compressed using the H.264 codec. This footage was applied with After Effect's time stretch (125% - 175%). It doesn't look slow-mo, but trust me, those ice cubes were chucking really fast into the cup!

what lens and adapters do i need for my hv40 to get that crisp film look that i just cant seem to get with the out of the box settings.
I just got this camera. How do i upload it on to the computer?? i know i need a firewire cable but im confused?
i want to drink...
