Ep. 09 - Riding over Tonale Pass and Strada Provinciale del Passo di Gavia, Italy

This morning we ride through an apple orchard, over Tonale Pass and ride an excitingly narrow road (really a very narrow path, Strada Provinciale del Passo di Gavia) to just below Gavia Pass for lunch.
About Tonale Pass - During World War I, Tonale Pass was heavily fought for between Italians holding Western side (Lombardy) and the troops of Habsburg Empire holding the Eastern side (Trentino)
Note - This is the morning of the day we ride over Stelvio Pass (next episode). It was a day, so rich with adventure and visuals that it had to be told in two episodes.

I've had 7 BMWs, 4 Harleys, a Honda and 5 Urals. Still have A Harley, but the BMWs got replaced with Urals...great bikes BMWs, until they break and all bikes break. I can fix the Urals....

@@brenofun Really is a great video, looking forward to part 2 (10). Taking one my Urals over there this summer (a newish EFI one) for a few months...retirement present to myself...this sort of video is really keeping my anticipation level up...
