Hi Guys, we hope this video helps you understand which switch is best for your Home Network. Feel Free to ask questions in the comments below! Thanks for watching!
So I guess the bottom line is if the provided 4 port home router is out of ports, just get unmanaged switch! Thanks!
Thank you / The explanation is easy, simple and comprehensive

very underated
Thank u so much!! Right to the point, then u give explanations - and the background music was nice and light(nice touch) great vid! I liked and subscribed. Thanks again.
Thank you for watching and for subscribing we appreciate it!
It would be very nice to have a managed switch in "EASY" mode. The Host pc can control what can be shared, and what devices are private.
As in a printer can be shared, but each pc can be set to private.
You seem to have removed your Cisco video. Is there a replacement?
You mentioned another video you’ve done for programming Cisco managed switches, but have you made a video for the same thing on a Ruckus like you have in this video? I also have a Ruckus and haven’t been able to find any good info on the subject. I’ve skimmed thru your video line up and didn’t see anything on it, but I might have missed it
I haven't done a video on the RUCKUS IXC switch. I may do one in the future.
Thanks for a very informative video, it was helpful.
I have a tplink switch. But I think it gets me packet lost when I use Webrtc video with high quality bitrates. Do you know how can I fix that? If there is a way to “open” the traffic or something to avoid this. I’m using the switcher to connect one MacBook Pro into an atem mini hardware video switcher and then the TP link is connected to my main router which is an alien AMPLIFI one. I use Mac’s and one gaming PC. But I see this packet lost only when this tp link is part of the network. When I connect the laptop directly to the router, it works great. Can you help? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. From an ethernet switch, can I connect an access point?
yes
Does it bypass the device or router's internet speed's limitations? like you only getting 50 megabyte per seconds, after getting the switch device installed and plugged in. you get a better and faster internet speed over around 100 megabyte per second or better. Kind of work the same way as the 2.5G Ethernet to USB Adapter, CableCreation USB 3.0 Gigabit LAN Dongle.
Megabit bruh, not megabyte
Can I share my printer on another PC using an unmanaged switch if both it connected to it statically?
Yes it should work.
For me manage switch is better but one thing is for sure this device cannot escape when the lightning strikes your current cable and hit your switch it will become totally dead
All of my devices in my panel are plugged into a UPS and surge protectors. Also Las Vegas does not got lightning very often or rain. Lol.
I use mostly managed switches and unmanaged switches in rooms that need extra ports. Thank you for watching and for the great comments.
Do unmanaged switches have tables?
Yes they have MAC tables.
What if switch is power on 24/7
It's a low power draw so no worries.
