    Kristian I can’t say enough good things about you. You have taken time during training and races to say hi to me and my friends along with autographs. The information you share and the content on Strava and social media is great! Your love for triathlon and joy is inspiring. Thank you and keep up the great work.

    Such a pleasure getting to see the ins and outs of your career. Thank you for sharing. Going to be exciting and interesting to see more data driven athlete growth catch up and change the sport as you have.

    Awesome insights, thanks for changing the sport! As a 36 year old age grouper, focusing primarily on Olympic and Sprint distance, when would you expect peak performance to hit? Lots of variables I know, coming in under 1:10 on most sprint races though and feeling better than ever...but realizing my improvement time could be limited based on age! Thanks man, keep it up!

    Your training seems to be the most scientific amongst professional triathletes which explains the great results you have gotten.

    hey dude - good luck this weekend. you make it look easy!!! anyways, what watch do you use? I used polar vantage v but broke after years of use .. think me wearing it in the sauna caused the issue..

    I'd wear this while jogging with my son in his running stroller. That would turn some heads.

    Is the mask really able to accurately measure VO2? I had a VO2 test done last week for a lung condition and I was hooked up to a load of other machines as well to measure cardiac function etc.

    Does the altitude impact the Vo2 reading? Are you finding the Vo2 measurement is higher or lower at altitude compared to sea level?

    • @diego-rm2oy
      @diego-rm2oy Před rokem

      I mean, higher altitude means thiner air and less oxygen, which means your body will require more oxygen

    hi Kristian how can you build up a lot of running endurance from no fitness at all thanks!

      What I did was, Start walking each day 10min - 1hr, then all the sudden you’ll want to to go faster and run. Build up to 3 days a week run and 3 days a week walk 1 day rest. Then keep asking for more ideas from like minded people.

    • @oliverjensendude
      @oliverjensendude Před rokem +2

      firstly, accept that getting to 'a lot of running endurance' can take a lot of time, start out with 2 or 3 short runs per week, easy pace, and just stick to what you find comfortable.
      Running 40km+ per week should probably take you anywhere from 2 to 6 months since we have no idea what 'no fitness at all' means in your case.
      Good luck, and take it steady - I say while writing this with my feet in an ice bath.

      Agree with the comments above. Depends what you define as “no fitness”. If that mean that jogging 1h without stopping is exhausting, then I good to use walking like Surf says. Maybe add in some running as intervals. Like 4min walk+1 min jog. And progress to 3+2 and 2+3 later on.

    To build better base endurance, do you tend to run more in Zone 2 or Zone 3?

  • @rasmusottokristensen2039

    the lack of a co2 sensor is a problem. I don't think this device will disrupt the market before it gets a co2 sensor.

      It’s expensive for standard athletes to buy( around 6-7K USD I think), but for a coach or club I would say it’s the most affordable device with extreme accuracy that you can get. And if the device is cheaper, then it’s also pressing down the price if you want to go to a test person and get tested
