Noted! Honestly, every place I've visited in Japan is beautiful! To name a few, Lake Kawaguchi, Nasu, Okunoshima, Dazaifu, all of Kyoto and Nara. I'll make a video soon on them!

Hey Sharon, would love if you let us know how was your experience meeting them in person. What mistakes you made and how did you learn from them?
What personal or random general things you got to see or hear while you were at your partner’s family place?

Hi Nisha, nice to see you on CZcams! Since I've met his parents before, I had an idea of what to expect when I met his whole family. I worked on my language and chopstick skills religiously. Table manners and speaking Japanese is what helped me sail through. Whenever I didn't understand something, I asked my husband for advice. Making tiny mistakes along the way is inevitable but is a learning experience nevertheless. For example, onsen etiquette, changing slippers for different parts of the house, using the wrong verb when speaking - it's new for most foreigners. However, Japanese people are polite, kind and helpful by default. They would always offer to guide me whenever I was stuck. And it's the little things, you know? Like instead of making fun of my Japanese when making a mistake, they would politely correct it and encourage me to speak it more often! Hence, I want to work on my language skills and vocabulary so I can have meaningful conversations with them.

Hi, Prince! Learning Japanese in India is comparatively cheaper than learning it in Japan. Keep in mind that most companies here are looking for candidates with an N3 and above level. So aim for a higher level if you want a brighter future here. However, living in Japan will improve your Japanese skills drastically. Since almost everything here is written and spoken in Japanese, you have no choice but to work on your language skills. I hope you found this helpful! All the best!
