- We take Project 168 to the next level with tuning from our friends at Evolution Powersports! We went with the Stage 3 93 octane tune and it RIPS! We gained 3mph in a 400' drag and a TON of responsiveness. We can't wait to see how it works at the dunes and in the trails.

Just got the map tuner and the sxsblog tune (that is a real thing without nick I would only have a stage 2) my god sous isn’t kidding this thing takes the machine to a new lvl. Not to be out done by the sxsblogparts.com service to its customers top notch. Had a little hick up and it was addressed with in mins. You just can’t ask for more out of these guys. 👍👍 all day. 100% agree with the review. Granted I don’t have a Turbo S but my X3 and Defender HD10 both became beasts out of the hole with the EVO tunes. Taking the granny protections out make the launch unreal.

I have a 2019 Turbo S and I am running 91 octane so what stage is the best for me? What's the best way of tuning the ECU with EVO sending the ECU in or do they send you the tuner. Thank You Chin from California I love your videos

I like the tech stuff and the antics are always priceless, but are you guys planning to do anything with a focus on trail/woods riding? I was watching some of your vids from 2 years ago and there was some nice technical trail riding happening. I get the big-power sand car thing is all the rage right now, but some of us couldn't give 2 shits about running dunes and desert. I'd like to see you guys take a trip to Windrock or something similar.

Anyway great video guys. Can't remember what Leonardo's speed was the other day after installing your EVO tune, it was pretty close though I think.

Newb question, my Oakley goggles are fitted with the tear off lens tabs... but where do I get an tinted over-shield/lens like the one nick is wearing at 16:40 in the video? I'd like to be able to just click on something tinted when it's super bright out, and pup it off / store it when it gets darker. Anybody?

sheesh with how much yall keep uping the game on the x3 and turbos. i can not get my cat payed off soon enough to pull the next loan to build the motor and step to the evo stage 2 setup for my turbo or see how much further i can go. will be talking to evo when the time comes

Good video guys. What is the hp gains with the tune that you used. I like that you compared speed between stock and tuned. I wish you would have done that with the x3. Would have been interesting to see the gains with all that’s been done with that machine
It was snowy when we did the X3. I think its around 20 more crank hp.

Was an exhaust added to this tune. If not will that help with increases as well and will other adjustments be needed afterwards.

Awesome Channel guys !! quick question do any of you guys recommend running without the front stabilizer ? I have a 16 xpt and only run rocky trails 30 - 45 mph tops ( due to speed restrictions and tons of cops. Thank you and keep up the great work !!!!
Would probably work well in your situation! We've run both with and without, really depends on the machine and riding

The yxz needs to be tuned and y not add a turba from yamaha racing, if no mcx turbos can hook you with a kit that gives you somewhere from 200 to 270 hp and requires a rebuild and they supply the rebuild materials. Is the yxz nose heavy coz ive seen it nose dive on the straight jump?

GURJEET SEHRA , YXZ is over sprung in rear, watch his older videos at dunes with stock suspension it jumps better then this setup he has now, I run 0 yes 0 preload in rear stock suspension and works great.
Brian YXZ1000R thats good to hear atleast stock suspension is capable of bashing around
The Weller setup on there now jumps FAR better than the stock springs ever will (in terms of staying flat). They are a significantly lower rate than stock. There were some instances at the dunes where we found perfect jumps that would throw anything flat. This jump is known for giving you some buck. Unfortunately the YXZ suspension geometry promotes that, so it just takes the right jump to get rid of it completely.
