It’s standard kiln fired soil. Just as you get out of your ground. It’s cheap and easy to compact and works good as an insulator. It is also Plaster, which is a cement based water activated material. It’s use to smooth out the surface so the smoke can easily move and not slowed down by the rough bricks

@@_yuri I agree that would be a better choice of words, but at the same time I highly doubt this is the first result that comes up for anyone that searches up anything regarding how to make a pizza oven. You definitely have to sift through the more feasible options to get to the things like this.
I would also argue that someone that wants to do pizza once in a blue moon would find it hard to justify anything pizza oven related as even doing your own for $50 involves plenty of labor and taking up space in the backyard for a particular piece of equipment. A baking steel is a good option for under $100 that you can use in your own home oven to get great quality pizza and its great to use as a griddle on your stove too.

They need to re research it and come up with something better.
They need to go to middle east and learn how the traditional bread making oven works with clay and bricks.
Learn from Sangak or Barbarie bread making oven is the best. Not those ovens in USA that are only 30 to 50 percent gives the taste of original Sangak or Barbarie bread. Barbarie is the ultimate bread for Pizza or traditional eating with Feta cheese, Butter and Basil.

And... a Chinese company copies all the knowledge gathered by generations of hard working Italians and make a $0.50 version of oven that breaks in 2.5 seconds.

@A B You pay $2900 and it breaks in 2.9 seconds. You should have read the description more clearly: Made in China.

@Happiness makes the world go round No, wrong. You can buy products which are going to be more expensive, but they last longer, defeating the Chinese products in a long run. People just don't get that. They buy shit; they discard it much, much sooner. If you buy something that lasts you 20 to life, then you actually win. Not everything, but most things should have a pay off.

  • @chocolatecoveredgummybears

way too complicated for a simple oven that has a small mouth like that. terrible design
