    I am impressed by the quality of Yamaha guitars. I picked up an acoustic many years ago that sounds great and holds tune better than most of my guitars. The electrics I have tested have been great. Looking forward to checking out the Revstar the next chance I get!

    I traded In couple guitars and amps then used my store credit (local shop) for the Pro RSP20 in Swift Blue.
    It’s my favorite guitar but I think my next one will be the mid level with the P90’s. You don’t have to go to the higher level to get an amazing guitar in the Revstar line.
    Rock on homies!

    These guitars sound fantastic, Especially at these price points. They’re even mahogany and rosewood boards. Cooper’s playing surely helps matters as well to say the very least 🤙

    They both sound great.. The green one is like the blue, but with a little more butter in those pickups. So creamy and rich... very nice. Love those Yammies 🙂

  • @arkadyromanov7803

    Its the details that get me. They painted the neck... but deliberately left it satin for playability. Carbon fibre neck reinforcement. Stainless steel frets on the Standard. Who does that in these price ranges? All the body scoops for ergonomics. Doesn't hurt that it sounds good too! Don't knock the "hot merlot" colour too much either - silly name yes, but it does look pretty good!

    As my beloved nr1 a odd bolt on neck very well made all maghogany maple top P90 Lp copy are showing up signs that despite my efforts and because of fresh wood and the weather acting roller coaster I still suspect that the neck might not stay put!
    I will need something simular cheap an cheerful as an backup or perhaps even as the new Nr1.
    So here I go again as i should not!
    A genuine straight forward design, rosewood fretboard, and that solid quality of Yamaha made my choice, a Revstar Element.

  • @andrewbecker3700
    @andrewbecker3700 Před 8 měsíci

    I'd been looking for a 24.75" scale dual humbucker guitar to put some pickups and tuners I had laying around in. The Revstar has been out of stock, basically since they released. I chose an Element model in black. I had a vision for it and upgraded all the electronics and tuners. I've dubbed it the DEATHSTAR. Has a 4 wire neck pickup I can coilsplit to get some really useful tones. They already have treble bleed curcuits wired into them from the factory, which I'm a big fan of. I went with a Mojotone oil filled canister tone capacitor, which helps mellow some of the ice picky high frequencies from the SD Distortion in the neck. I can dial the volume way back and it sounds crisp and clear all way down the range. Makes this guitar way more versatile. It's as good or better than any guitar in my collection now. If you didn't know any better you'd think it's a thousand dollar guitar. It's that good now.

  • @PeteA54
    @PeteA54 Před 2 lety +5

    I'm a bit surprised that the SS fret wire on the Standard vs nickel frets on the Element model was mentioned (unless I somehow missed it). That is a big selling point for me. I look forward to a review or comparison showing the P90 version as well.

      How it could be so important?

    • @PeteA54
      @PeteA54 Před 2 lety +2

      @@sergeyv4908 Well, if you play a lot, nickel frets wear down and need to be either recrowned or replaced. SS frets pretty much last forever. Also, bending strings and vibrato are incredibly smooth.

      @johnf.r6658 Před rokem

      @@PeteA54I'm having a crisis trying to see Wich one to get, the standard has binding (Wich I never got a guitar with it) and I kinda like the back of the guitar colour, and the most important, knowing that the frets won't wear as much, Wich I don't have a problem with my Squier, cos I can find another neck or something, without ruining the whole guitar, but also ... The element doesn't sound bad, and the price is something that hurt less to my wallet, did you get any of these guitars? Let me know because I'm trying to choose between this two models

    Love your professional calm attitude enabling the viewer to focus on the info being provided. I think they could make a Woolworth's Guitar sound good. Thanks for not jamming on a blue pentatonic for 5 minutes. I can hear the warmth of the lows in the Standard, but the special switch doesn't do a lot for me at least in the genre played. I think the Element might be fine and save me hundreds. Wonderful playing the same part on both.

    As a mod platform the Element is hard to beat. It's got decent wiring already and only needs a better switch and output jack with your favorite set of pickups and more modern looking tuners. Completely changed the guitar from "meh" to WOW!

    the standard has a maple cap, binding, transformer for the focus feature, gigbag and not the least ,, stainless steel frets.. Those inbetween semi out of phase sounds are interesting,, That is a lot of features more than the standard.. But with humbuckers I can see the use of the dry switch on the element to thin out the sound for certain sounds..

    The Yamaha Grizzly had suspension bushings replaced at the dealer before sale by Dad's estate... less squeaks. More comfortable seat for a passenger (me) than the Grizzly rear rack... I did see one with MatTracks mounted at Sandpoint airport several years ago... Need a guitar rack on the UTV, but that's a rough ride on the range. 😄 (Something close to John Deere green, like Yamaha's dark green?)

    I stopped right when y’all said, heavy. What is a good “light” electric guitar? One thing that stops me from buying an electric guitar is the weight, the masses seem to be heavy, to heavy for my liking. I’d like a light bluesy, country sound electric guitar, that is of good quality without being wicked expensive. Any suggestions?
