That's a really useful video so thanks for making it, it's a lot more involved compared to when I travelled round Europe in the mid eighties.

I use the navmii app, it’s free and has provision for motor homes, just buy the maps you need which are £2.99 I think but if you want a proper sat nav then buy a truck/ bus one. 👍🏻

Also when in France if your MH is over 3.5T you have to have a blind spot sticker on the front doors

There is some debate over whether this applies to motorhomes. The French Motorhome magazines have run a couple of interesting articles about this- with the advice basically being to wait and see...?! Many French motorhomer a aren’t bothering yet apparently 🙄🤷‍♀️

Hi W/B. the warning triangles are been replaced by "flashing light" they are a heck of a lot easier, one i saw has sim card & you can be located by emergency services, i drive in Spain. opinion????

Where do you put a vignette on a bike? On the screen Kat. 😂
If no screen, on the side of the tank.

Thank you . I’ve been busy scribbling down my lists whilst watching. Something I’m a little concerned about is what food are we going to be allowed to take into France in our motorhome fridges? I’m a vegetarian and my friend has IBS so we’re a proper awkward pair.🙄. I’d just like to be able to take enough to keep us going for the first 2 days or so. It’ll be my first trip abroad so won’t be immediately confident finding supermarkets. Thank you for all your informative videos 😊

As far as I can see from some websites it is no meat or dairy (meat not a problem for you of course)Limited fruit and veg plus eggs and honey is allowed. Restricted amounts of fish or fish products apparently, but who carries fish in a camper? I was concerned about this after reading of a UK trucker having a sandwich confiscated at the Dutch order after Brexit...whose bright idea was it to make life more difficult for us travellers.... but that's another subject?

French is fantastic it's a digger richer country with fantastic facilities so don't worry. Use google translate with your phone camera to read food containers.

Just listened to the bit about headlight bulbs.
Mine are built into VERY expensive headlights and cannot be changed separately so I won’t be taking those!

Great video we also have a 240v mains socket tester for testing the polarity and the earth connection. I have had cause to use a different socket because the earth test failed. Do you have any info on the French taking food off of people when crossing? Can you fill your fridge and cupboard before you travel?

You never mentioned that you only need to put on the hi vis only if you breakdown .
I do not think so but somebody may put them on to go down to the beach from a carpark . HE HE

Are you really going to put on hi viz jackets if your vehicle is on fire - don’t really think so.
My warning triangle is one that I passed every day for a week on the motorway near Mechelen in Belgium, I eventually stopped and heavily borrowed it, still got it but it has been really difficult to pack away in most carsI have owned. Good video though, loads of good tips as ever.
