New single !! (Jan 2018): • Loudness 'Soul on Fire...

Vocalist Minoru Niihara: "Actually it does not have any meaning. When we were doing pre-production for the Thunder in the East album, I did not have any lyrics for Crazy Night then, so I sung total nonsense as a guide vocal for the demo recording. I sung 'M.Z.A' by accident and the producer Max Norman liked the line, even though that did not have any meaning. We were trying to create some cool line but we could not beat 'M.Z.A'. Max ended up deciding to use 'M.Z.A' for the real take".

I was working back stage at the Forum in 1986 for the Motley Crue "theater of Pain" tour. Loudness opened for them and literally made the Crue look bad. The crowd loved them. They were my favorite band at the time and had seen them a few times prior. They absolutely rock.

Loudness are not well known in N.America or Europe BUT in Japan & East Asia in general, these guys are considered Metal "royalty" like Maiden, Priest or Metallica.
They´re active since the late 70´s and are still recording & playing new music. Last studio album came out in 2018.
Also, guitarist Akira Takasaki is a total legend, Paul Gilbert & Marty Friedman are huge fans of him.
