Your favourite movie doesn't have to be the one which is perfect, flawless and taught to film students. It has to be the one which gives you the most enjoyment and a sense of fulfillment. This movie made me feel this and has always been my favourite film ❤

There isnt another woman on the planet that was as drop dead gorgeous as Gemma is in this film. She is as close to physical perfection as it's possible to get. She 's simply hypnotic every time she's on screen.

When she remarks that "that's a short time for a man to change", it shows that she already suspects that the sands were in play, even if she doesn't know exactly what happened in the erased timeline. Likewise, he deliberately is not immediately telling her about the alternate events, because he wants to give her the chance to get to know and trust him again on her own first, before he tells her about their adventures in the other timeline.

It's possible that the feelings they had felt in the deleted time line were because of circumstance alone, but the this Tamina might be swayed by them. He's letting her be the judge based on the evidence she sees, not the knowledge of what came before.

In saying that line as he offers her the dagger he's straight up admitting to her that he knows about the dagger, the sand, and what they can do without even needing to say the words. It earns him a level of trust with her, a woman that knows next to nothing else about him, that no other words or gifts could have ever have done or even really come close to. Pure awesomeness!
They did a splendid job with the movie. It may have strayed from the games, yet it's all for the right reasons in order to make the movie such a memorable journey.
Agreed. A sequel with the Dahaka would have been great. Although the game is rated for mature audiences, I feel they could skirt the line just a little bit and give us something worthwhile kind of like they did with the pirates of the Caribbean series.
It's not entirely a shame. This was great as a standalone movie. Like Highlander or The Matrix. There's risks in creating sequels to really good movies.

Honestly, for a Disney movie they left it pretty open ended, and I appreciate that. On one hand, the movie has enough room for a sequel, on the other it stands on it's own pretty good. I for one like it a lot as a standalone movie and a spinoff in the Prince of Persia universe.

I agree. I am not a fan of this movie and never play video game but I really love soundtracks of this movie. I downloaded and listened many time over the past 10 years. I should have watched it in movie theater but I didn't.
After watching this film now, I realized why Jordan Mechner changed the screenplay. I'm happy with the new story where the prince does end up with the princess instead of just giving her a hint and running away. No unnecessary setup for sequels, no unnecessary plot points that make you think it's similar to the original story, etc. Just a simple fantasy story that is inspired by its game counterpart.

This film is criminally underrated, such a good film! I remember playing through the Prince of Persia games a young boy, (yes I know I wasn’t old enough!)
I was worried that they would not do the game justice, but this was so good I was speechless. And they said everything that needed said to trust one another at the end. Easily one of the top ten best movies ever.
What an awesome movie it was, watched it again after so many years a few days ago.. and was surprised to find out later that it was a flop in cimena.. was not expecting a game based movie to present time traveling in such an interesting way..
Movies based on video games have such a bad reputation and there is the idea that video games cannot be successfully adapted into good movies but this one really was a great action flick imo. An underrated movie that flies under the radar.

I love this movie.

Man, I miss the Prince of Persia games. Yet I only finished one among the trilogy. Uh, the one with the island where there's a demon chasing you and you can travel between the present and the past by using a pedestal thingy. Yeah, that Prince of Persia game. Forgot its title but oh well.
@@flirtyyae8015 Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. That was actually my favorite one of the trilogy, tho im not sure if it was as popular as the others.
@@lawrencefowler4227 when I was a kid, I always thought that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was the only trilogy that wasn't horror because the other two had that horror atmosphere in the surroundings.

This film is criminally underrated, such a good film! I remember playing through the Prince of Persia games a young boy, (yes I know I wasn’t old enough!)
They should have added the ending dialogue from "Two thrones" : "Come and I will tell you a tail none you have ever heard...Time is like an ocean... "

I was worried that they would not do the game justice, but this was so good I was speechless. And they said everything that needed said to trust one another at the end. Easily one of the top ten best movies ever.

Movies based on video games have such a bad reputation and there is the idea that video games cannot be successfully adapted into good movies but this one really was a great action flick imo. An underrated movie that flies under the radar.
I've played the game 'Prince of Persia: Time of san' on Nokia n72 (Symbian OS) a decade ago. I must say this movie always gives me a nostalgic hit.
U should play the game made for PC. It can run on any pc... Think you'll love it

I didn’t play the game or grow up knowing about the Prince of Persia games, but I still loved this movie as a kid.
