"Come and Get Your Love" is a song by the Indigenous rock band Redbone. It was released as the lead single from their album "Wovoka" in 1973. The song was written by band member Lolly Vegas and produced by Lolly and his brother Pat Vegas, who were both members of Redbone.
The song features a distinctive blend of rock, funk, and Native American influences, with its catchy melody and energetic rhythm making it a standout hit of the 1970s. "Come and Get Your Love" reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States and achieved international success as well.
The song's lyrics are about a man expressing his desire for someone to come and be with him, promising love and happiness. The upbeat and infectious nature of the song, coupled with its memorable chorus, contributed to its enduring popularity. Over the years, "Come and Get Your Love" has been featured in various films, television shows, and commercials, ensuring its legacy as a classic rock staple.

The group got its name from the actual term "redbone", as describe in the Wikipedia snippet (below):
The word "redbone" is a Cajun term for a mixed-race person, which the band adopted to signify their mixed ancestry. The Vasquez-Vegas brothers were of Yaqui, Shoshone, and Mexican heritage. The band often alluded to Cajun and New Orleans culture in their lyrics and performing style.

They released "We Were All Wounded at Wounded Knee" in 1973. The song was inspired by the horrific massacre of the Lakota Sioux by the U.S. Military in 1890. And with the so-called 'controversial' subject matter, many American radio stations banned and refused to play it in spite of it charting HIGHLY in the international markets. Yeah. Some things NEVER change. And yes, you need to watch the Midnight Special version of this to check out that Native American dance intro at the beginning. R.I.P. Tony Bellamy and Lolly Vegas. 😢❤
