Herb Alpert with the Wrecking Crew composed so many chart toppers. As a radio and club jock this tune spun on many turntables and received lots of air play. Due to the orginal long version several shorter re-mixes were released. US A & M Records pressed a rare clear vinyl 12 inch promotional only single of the original long version.

Oh man, my teen years! My mom had a boxed set of Herb Alpert that I listened to when I was a little kid in the 60's, and this song came out when I was in high school. Memories! You really should check out some of his other hits. Fantastic trumpet work!

Omg I haven’t heard this in decades. As soon as that trumpet came in I was right back in the kitchen of my childhood home. It’s summer, me and my sister were in the pool, now we’re starving, sitting at the table while mom makes lunch, and her little radio is on playing this song. Wow… that was a trip 😆
