I see Heritage Landing, looking good. We have a closing in two weeks there. Love to see more about development on this road, from what I heard there is a Publix as well as some other retailing coming to Burnt Store. Who knows, but each time I am there visiting, more and more progress is happening.

If I am looking at a property in Punta Gorda and see the current 2024 taxes as X and the property was sold in 2022, are the taxes I see the taxes we will be paying or will we be hit with increased taxes as new owners?

Hi Tony,You are likely to see your taxes go up at least somewhat. If it sold in 2022 and is not currently homesteaded or doesn’t have a special discount (like a vet), it might not be too dramatic. There is a tax calculator to give you an idea at ccappraiser.com
