Funny how older releases tend to go for more money than the newer releases.

Nice touch with the pink packaging wish more studios would do stuff like this. The argument always goes to should such and such movie even get a 4k and I think it’s the bigger need for film preservation. We are not all on the same journey there are people that haven’t seen it yet so if I’m not upgrading I still like to promote new releases.

I completely agree with the film preservation part, I feel Horror gets the most love for film preservation's but there so many other great film genres I would love to see, especially from the early 2000s that missed the blu-ray boom & are still only on DVD.

They re-released it on blu-ray a few years back, I believe the 15 year anniversary with that same cover on the case and it came with a PINK blu-ray case! Got it for 5 dollars at a Walmart movie bin! 😂 so I probably won't upgrade.. i'm fine with the one I have, lol.

i've been seeing that online but didn't know if that was just a blu-ray of the current transfer lol

low key, I totally agree! haha I think some people have such a negative mindset about DVDs

Well it was shot on Film, so color correction is EVERYTHING. Probably why that one outside scene looked “Green” as a result of the film stock used.

I can totally see that. it's just that 1 little scene too, the rest of the outside scenes look great. almost looks like they were filming with the day light running out & it got a little dark on them. I don't know lol

What equipment are you watching your films on.

I have an LG 60" 4k TV (don't know the model) got it around 2018. I mostly use my Playstation 5 but I also have a Sony region free player but it's only blu-rays, doesn't play 4ks

@@thelastmoviestanding does the tv have hdr and dv? I believe the ps5 doesn’t. The thing with 4k is it’s all about the equipment. Many people have mid to low end TVs and players and they have issues with the outcome they’re watching. They don’t notice the difference from BD to 4K and some even slander 4k because they don’t know any better. I wouldn’t pay attention to most people reviewing titles unless they state how they watched the disc. 4k really is niche and if you really want to be wowed you sort of have no choice but invest in top of the line. Basically a LG or Sony OLED and Panasonic 820 or the 9000 if you have the extra cash.

@@TheLastSamurai813 yea my TV has HDR, no Dolby Vision. I know I need to get a proper 4k player. Im waiting to get a region free/4k player so I can minimize & not have 5 different bluray players lol. they are just kind of pricey.
Thanks for the advice though, it's good to know a proper 4k player will enhance the movies & honestly im still very new to 4k, only started getting into them about a year ago.

@@thelastmoviestanding you can bypass US players with simple button prompts. Multiple forums and videos on how to do so. I personally if I were you and money is tight and you don’t want to go crazy but want the best picture quality. Get the Panasonic 820. Can be had for around 400-500 bucks. It’s has multiple features that no other player has like the hdr optimizer and mapping to your specific type of tv. I would also get an OLED. Audio is a must for competition but if you don’t have the money at the moment worry about these first then head to the receiver and speakers. If you have a lot of region locked BDs just use that for viewing and the Panasonic for everything else. Remember all 4ks are region free and the Panasonic beautifully upscales blurays. Oh and screen shots are always inaccurate on CZcams. HDR looks terrible in caps because it’s not being presented correctly. I’ve don’t comparison on the 4k v BD tone mapping and its night and day for mean girls

@@TheLastSamurai813 oled here with dv, oversaturation still noticeable; the bluray has better color timing
