Loading Arri 416 Magazine

How to load a 16mm roll of film in an Arri 416 Magazine.
The FEED side must be done in a changing tent or in complete darkness. the TAKE UP side can be done outside the tent.

Do you do the Take-Up side also in a tent or is the feed side completely sealed so you can do the Take-Up side in light?

You can do it outside the tent as that speeds up the process a lot.
Also the film is coiled around itself, emulsion in, so it’s usually safe to do.
Just maybe don’t drop the mag while doing it 😁

What was the AC using to mark the slate with? He printed paper but from what device?

That’s a brother label printer. Specifically the P-cube. I make all my 2nds buy one cause it’s portable and take up to 1 inch cartridges
