    I can't tell you how thrilled I was just by seeing a movie camera or a projector when a child. In fact I made a hand operated 8mm movie projector decades ago and awed my family and friends. wrote about it on my site. Now things changed and am no longer following these things but still have the tendency towards technology. Thanks for posting this video.

    So the person loading the film into the mag normally doesn't see what they are doing? With such intricate procedures, does it take much practice to learn to navigate by touch with all the different cameras out there?

      Of course, but they do it like in the video up to the point that they could do it sleeping. That is the point where they using real film i guess.

    That is a clean looking mag. Is refurbished or seldom used in its former life?

    Awesome video. Can you timestamp what part needs to be done in the dark?

      Also obviously needs to be dark when you unload

    I don't have any knowledge of this so forgive me, but can i ask a serious question? Is this procedure normally done in a dark room to prevent exposure?

      @slk1771 Před rokem +5

      Yes. Removing the mag plates in any light makes for a very, very expensive mistake.

    Dengan pemasangan film seperti itu, apakah tidak ter"bakar" filmnya sebagaimana memasang film di camera foto yg harus di tempat gelap?

      Mau nanya om, ini tuh film roll nya yg di awal sama yg di akhir beda ya? Kok yg di akhir kyk dua gitu, padahal yg di awal cuma satu..

    Panavision magazines are BY FAR the easiest to load. Everything else seems wacky by comparison. 😉

      Once you've put film in the feed side, you can actually do the take-up part in light.
