    Hello Jim, good day, it is great that you have employees who want to learn the trade of machines and tools, that is gratifying for many like us who develop ideas for continuous improvement, cordial greetings from Argentina.

    The Colonial Smooth Rifle is the best flintlock I have ever put together

    Jim, do you ever run classes for customers who have purchased your Long Gun Flintlock kits ? It might be an interesting way to do a Summer Vacation.

      We don't currently, but we are aware of other classes for assembly. Southern Ohio Artisan Workshops is a great one. www.southernohioartisanworkshops.com/gunmakers-workshop.html

    Jim, "Let me show you how to do this, then you take over."
    Employee: "Can you show me again?"
    Jim, "Sure, just watch."
    Lol.

      Jim took turns demonstrating on different guns so everyone got to try their hands at the skills. He actually walked away and let us work at it quite a bit but that doesn’t make a very helpful video 😀

    Jim why don't you cut the sight dovetails the standard 3-8 eighth. I can't find any sights will fit your dovetails. Let me know what you suggest???

    • @kiblerjim
      @kiblerjim  Před 2 měsíci

      Sorry about that--there's no good reason. It's just how we started and we didn't consider that other people might want to use other sights. We may change that down the road

      @@kiblerjim, I told the wife that the SMR was going to be the last gun I ever got. However the idea of a smoothbore, and a Kibler at that, has me intrigued. I might have to break my word to the wife. Do Laurie, Bree and Katherine have any advice for me on that?

    • @MrSpudz2
      @MrSpudz2 Před 2 lety +2

      @DocLaw, did you say last “gun” or last “rifle”? Because it’s a smooth bore and technically not a rifle…

      Last gun, because I have a few I really don't use and it is time to thin the herd. ;-)
