and his phrasing is the strongest of all 3, vai and satriani are so sloppy here.Poland have his own signature licks that repeats in his solos, that gives to him so much signature and improvisation capavility.

I just love that moment where Poland starts the solo fest. Satriani and Vai just died inside. Probably, standing still, because their ‘ego’ got an unexpected hit. To me, the real Satriani and Vai were revealed at that moment. Nothing on the skills of both men. They are really fantastic and Satriani is a beast, but just that look on their face.. theor bubble was instantly gone and reality had hit hard

Massive respect to Vai and Satriani!!! These guys constantly have shows with guitar players who kick their asses and still they keep on doing it and having fun! Btw no sarcasm here, I don't like their playing but I respect them enormously. And Geoff is my favourite vocalist of all time, pure beast!

They're all amazing in their own right but Satriani and Vai are so much more famous you can see on their faces as soon as Poland starts playing that they're hearing things they've never heard before and they like it.

Rhythm section (hate to say it) is kind of lame, and tempo lacks a certain urgency .... very...sleepy....and despite all that, Chris Poland sounds awesome.

These comments are hilarious! The interviewer asked Jeff Beck a longtime ago what he thought about heavy metal shredders. Jeff said' I think they are looking for the holy grail of shredding. I hope they find it someday" I love these dudes but it's like do you take Little Wing, Tush, I'm going down, Train kept a rollin and throw Yngwie licks in there? My opinion is you play a little slower tastier licks. I would love to hear what these boys would do with Back In Black or All Right Now by free. Watch the way Steve and Joe look at Chris. I am going to ask one of them why they picked this, forgot too. I think it was just an easy rhythm for all to learn and not have to learn a new song being this was at NAMM which is a busy week fo so many shows, clinics, etc... Just think if they picked G3 type song, it would be great but prob too much time for all of them to try to organize practice , etc... :) my 2 cents
