Well honestly he does have a reason to be suspicious but he should talk to the person with the camera and try to figure out what the situation is without going hands on immediately. I think if I was a cop and saw someone in the lot with a camera walking around I think I would want to question them, but to immediately go hands-on without any combative or aggressive behavior from the camera person is a mistake.
This cop is bananas. Why do cops like to assault the people they're supposed to be serving?
Because ANY amount of resistance or self defense by pushing his hand off you gives them the opening they need to charge you with assaulting a police officer. Even though it is self defense since they assaulted you first. And because they have a badge on their chest and their fragile ego got tilted off key by a citizen exercising his right to defend themselves, they immediately escalate the situation into having to use excessive physical force to throw you on the ground and assault you even more.
This unhinged sergeant doesnt even have a body cam on to record the encounter with Sean. Which I am sure is against department policy regarding encounters with members of the public.

Ya its was private they just didnt put up the signs because of construction. So it was a grey area that day. It 100% on them to pit up signs but also when the officer told him its private it was on sean to leave but he was being difficult arguing. So the officer kinda pushed him. And its because he is protecting what is normally private property. And had ever right to do so. They are both in the wrong here. The police for not putting up temporary signs and sean for not leaving right away when he was told its private. And ya thr mask outside was crazy.

"restricted" is a better word. It's not really "private vs public", the entire police station/space is PUBLIC, however there can and will be restricted areas.

The Sergent thought he could get away with telling Sean the Lt. wasn't there. When he saw that Sean wasn't going to leave, the Lt. suddenly appeared. Apparently he was concerned enough to come out - and maybe he was even worried, once Sean explained the event to him.

I've been on a jury which someone was suing 3 cops for excessive force in which the man suing didn't meet that threshold. In this case since it's definetly NOT excessive force it would fall under an assault.

I just want to say Thank you Sean. Today I had a confrontation with police and I did nothing wrong. Because of your bravery and videos I immediately took out my phone and recorded. After I asked them for their badge numbers they new I wasn’t dumb. I was asked if they could search me. I said no i do not consent to any search or seizer. When asked my name I said “in all due respect I don’t talk to Cops” But they continue to to ask me questions. I replied with “I need to get going am I being detained?” They said no. So I immediately said goodbye. Walked to my car waved to the officers and drove off. 10 years ago I would have been embarrassed and had my rights violated. Thank you so much for you and other youtubers teaching people about their rights. It was easy to deal with them having knowledge of what they can and cant do. Never talk to police about anything and always keep your video camera rolling. You never know what they will do. Stay safe out there everyone!

First Amendment Auditors really need to learn exactly what tyranny actually is. The fact that they're able to do what they do, and post it online for all to see, is all the evidence that one needs to determine that law enforcement is NOT tyrannical. In a tyrannical police state people like Audit the Audit, Lackluster, Long Island Audit, Direct D, and others would be disappeared immediately and never seen or heard from again. Bodycams wouldn't exist as a concept in a tyrannical police state.

Imposing the mask mandate was the wise thing to do, it was a basic precaution against an unknown adversary.
LIA is fighting tyranny at a much smaller scale than what you're describing. No democratic government (much less local authorities) would be able to censor CZcams entirely. It's a very helpful tool to denounce local tyrants (mayors, police officers, public servants, etc.) and Sean uses it perfectly.
