Sometimes Danes don't last that long in life, it's such a shame, they are so clumsy when baby's, but such a pretty dog, I have three just can't imagine life without then now 🐾
Lol kitty take it from me that she WILL take over the lounge, bed, car lap space etc but you are in for one of the best times of your life with her. My 4 year old blue boy has exceeded all expectations since he was 8 weeks old and still makes you feel like the first time you met everyday. You'll see her grow up very quickly and be prepared for lots of growing pain noises in the middle of the night 🤗 she'll be more than a dog to you and the bond is quite fantastic. Cherish each day with her as it will be very sad when the day comes inevitably 🐾🐾
She's so pretty! Congrats! So happy for you. I've had Danes since 1994 and they truly are a special breed. I have 3 females right now, so I'm totally obsessed with the breed too. They are truly the best!!

Pure Luck they have very short life spans I heard they normally live to 7 years

@@pitbullrex8897 I have a 7 month old Dane pup and she is good with children. I'm 15 and my little sister is 6. She is very active and needs to be played with and of she isnt, she bites really hard. Just treat them like any other puppy just bigger. They start getting big at 2 or 3 months. Good luck

I love the self righteous approach to pushing adoption but all situations are different.

Congrats , we got crazy and could not say no to 2 brothers and best of all Fawn and Brindle 😀. We said our last Great Dane RIO will be our last but..... Lol it is ment to be. GREAT DANE love you can't replace or live without. Hope your Girl is doing fine.

Love the video! I have 2 Danes myself. By the way, you did great making the pain noise when she nipped you. The last two weeks of weaning is when puppies learn bite inhibition. I got my male at 6 weeks and he was a horrible biter, but quickly learned. Breeders should know better, but at the same time, having them that young is so much fun. Thanks for sharing!
My first time in 23 years without at least 1 Dane, I'm so ready for a puppy! My pit is too, she knew Mick as her daddy and had a hard time for 6 weeks minimum! She has been around puppies and kittens and is so sweet and gentle! Cute pup!

We just lost our Great Dane. He was 7 and died of complications from a twisted stomach surgery. He died on Labor Day. Your dog looks just like our Sam. Black with a white star. He was truely a gentle giant. We miss him terribly. They are unique dogs. Love her dearly....

Cool video. I picked the kids up early from school and we went and picked out my female Dane and I named her Cupcake! I didn’t even tell my wife, just showed up with my baby. She’s slept with us since day one, and will ALWAYS sleep with us.
A year after that I rescued Rudy before he got dropped off at the pound. Didn’t tell my wife then either; just showed up and said “can we keep him”!! He’s my big boy!!! And such a loverdoodle!
Makes me mad that his previous “owner” was mean to him.
Guess I’m rambling but your video made me remember the early days of Cup and then the addition of Rudy.
7 weeks is way too young, in Denmark it's completely illegal to take a puppy away from his mom before he is at least 8 weeks. Poor baby.
It’s actually not to young by that time the puppy is starting to become independent, the whole reason people say to wait tell 8 weeks is because in between 6-8 weeks they are learning skills, so in all honesty a mom is not an essential for the 6-8 weeks, the only thing that’s worrying is that they can’t get shots tell 8 weeks but that’s the only thing
Got my puppies at 6 weeks. My Great Dane is now 7 months and acts completely normal. They can get shots at 6 weeks now. Both of my doggies act normal now.
@@nickveliz8158 It is too young. Puppies learn crucial dog etiquette from their mom and litter mates like not biting too hard.

Great danes are also prone to separation anxiety and don't do well in a crate due to their size, and clausterphobia. Try house training they're smart and obedient dogs just dont leave stuff out they can get into when puppies they'll eat anything.

It took my golden retriever puppy about 2 weeks to get used to sleeping inside the crate. Your doing a fanastic job :) We used a Jingle bell at the door for potty training!
I just ordered one!! Right now she just sits at the door and lets out a light whine :) bells will be better!
The bell took my 8week old 3 days to learn to use. Its great!
