Whether you are apartment hunting alone or renting an apartment with friends, this video goes into detail on what to know when renting an apartment for the first time, apartment tips for first time renters, and what to ask on an apartment tour! I also share personal experiences about my first apartment out of college and what it's like to make these decisions with roommates.
If you're watching this video and in the process of renting your first (or second or third) apartment, let me know what you think and if you have any other questions I didn't cover!
Love always,

Girl this helped so much I’m actually touring my first apartment with my sister today so excited to ask these questions 😆
I'm so glad! That's so exciting and I hope it goes well!! Good luck😊
How did it go? I’m touring my first apartment with my friend today and I’m so nervous! I’m neurodivergent so I’ve always been scared to do adult stuff like this on my own. I’m scared I’ll fuck it up😅
@@delilahdrummond4076 omg me to that’s why I had my sister with me she did most of the talking but the tour was great and the apartment is great 😄
If only the percentage worked here in Cali. It’s sooo crazy expensive here 💀

I understand that this video is coming from the US and i don't live in the US, but i've heard A LOT about not spending over 30% of your income in rent and bills, and that in Argentina is simply impossible, when a normal medium income is about 24 thousand pesos (about 160 usd) and rent for a decent looking place (about 370 square feet), is 21 thousand pesos (about 140 usd) and without any utilities included. You either have to settle for a much much smaller place (about 200 square feet) and pay around 16 thousand pesos (about 106 usd) or get a 370 square feet place that is old and not well mantained at all, old wiring and all.
And most of these places i mentioned do not include utilities, expenses, AC, kitchen, microwave, fridge or a heater. The newest ones for about 21 thousand pesos are newly made nad they do have AC but that is it, all the other appliances and bills are on top of it all.
It's soulcrushing to hunt for a place in Argentina.
Know this is an old comment but I totally agree. With today’s rent prices it’s impossible for a lot of people to spend only 30% of their income for rent to live somewhere they are comfortable, even in the United States. In the end, what you spend is what you’re comfortable with.
@@bibifolchi36 I know this comment is also old, but I just wanna piggyback and say I've never seen a place I can get for 30% of average income, and I don't even live in a big city! Seems like you HAVE to have roommates which sucks bigtime, that's why I'm looking at videos like this, I don't want roommates forever!!
Good tip about the mail/package. BTW, you've got beautiful eyes!
Thanks so much for this! I'm so anxious about my first apartment, I paid the app fee on friday. Tomorrow will be the first business day.. should I call to check in?
That's so exciting! Every application process is different, so I don't see a problem in calling to check on the status of your application and what the estimated timeline is😊
I am going on my second apartment tour tomorrow it’s a studio. I am hoping I meet the requirements and like the place.

deelscafe helped me
same i got only bank statements and im moving in on monday
saw buddy onna gram
I’m so nervous, me and my boyfriend are going to be renting for the first time! It’s exciting yet scary lol (
I was told that because I will be living in a Multi Unit & I have to go through them to pay my water bill can someone explains to me what means. This is my first time paying bills/ getting my first apartment
That sounds like the apartment building is getting charged for your water usage (instead of you being charged directly from the water company) and the apartment will probably have you pay them for that bill along with your rent each month. But I would double check with them to make sure!
@@KatieReny Thank you
She reminds me of Kirsten Dunst.
30 minute commute in the bay for work straight Up luxury lol jk but at the same time not kidding lol
My wife likes your sweater 👍🏻
Tell her I say thanks!
I needed to proof 3x the rent and Cyber Credible was able to help with biweekly paystub that got me qualified
On Twitter I found his page and texted his number directly
You lost me at 30% of your monthly income. I live in LA. I have 1700 dollar income an apartment is at least 1100
this video is very helpful and the comments about Cyber Credible works✅. I got biweekly stubs and bank statement for my apartment...
What pretty eyes you have 😜
Grab a drink
when renting my first apartment I was asked to provide a bank statement and two biweekly stubs which I got from Cyber Credible and got approved. He's helpful and I will advise y'all to let a professional guild you through your apartment application to avoid getting denied
on IG
I was asked to provide two months' worth of biweekly Paystub and bank statements and I'm grateful to have found a legit person( Cyber Credible) to help me get the apartment from the comment, I will be moving in with my daughter and he's recommendable
