Apparently this scene literally pushed the console to it’s absolute limits. Shogo Sakai, the composer said: “This scene in the game is on the edge of the CPU's processing capacity, and the number of sound channels is at the maximum value. In other words, the limits of the console are being pushed, and we’re only playing Wess’ dance scene. The CPU is screaming at the last possible moment, and I can't help but think it's trying to tell the player something-the latest in technology is fighting a losing battle."

Its a nice relief from the greif of chapter 1 and gives you a bit of a relief before chapter 3's fustration.
