Yeh, they don't exactly roll off the tongue lol
honestly when you make as many consumer product as sony does, a logical series name like these make more sense.
SRS is always their wireless portable line code for this product type, two word after is the product line name, RA, the number after is simple, the one with higher number is usually closer to the flagship of the series, with either "9" or "1000" usually as being the top if tne line model if the others is in the hundreds.
This rule doesn't apply on model that stands alone in their line up, in that case they usually have the designation of "1" of which it means they're more than flagship, they're Sony Halo product in that particular product type.
Its as simple as that,
So Sony Alpha 1, RX1, MDR Z1R, etc
mass market appeal it does not but it does to people that like things to be ordered properly.

I can believe the magic of the 3D audio because i saw other reviws and everyone says its lime magic but, im yet to believe in the bass capability of this speaker..

I saw you video from the brand new Xperia 1 iii and now i watching this where you mention you new Sony stero speaker . You know you can already do that with the Xperia 1 ii if you download the Sony Headphone app in the Play Store and then you connect your WH-1000XM3 to the Sony Headphones app and follow the instraction . I did that on my Xperia 1 ii and S21 Ultra and 360 reality audio works perfectly on both you will have on both phones an amezing music experience and it work without connectet to the internett after downloading the sony headphones app . You should tell that to your followers and subscribers . And thanks for you good content .

@@Sabundy I'm actually leaning toward the smaller RA3000 because the 5000 is too big and I'm sure the 3000 is loud enough for its size 👍. I'll check out Best Buy in-store to hear it for myself if they have it on display hopefully soon...

@@RenderB12 I saw it. That's his opinion. Not a fact. Sound and sound signature is very subjective. I have since bought the speaker. No idea what he is talking about. He mostly just goes on and on about volume and bass. Except this is not a party speaker. It's not made for bass. If that's your goal and jam go with the Sony Extra bass or JBL speakers. I'm sure they are much better suited to that and will please you more. This speaker creates ambient surround sound out of a single unibody speaker. Think like what you get in a coffee shop. That's what I wanted it for. And for me the sound is fantastic. You find plenty of reviews that praise the sound quality. I feel Flossy"s review was like someone complaining about the video capabilities of a camera made and designed mainly for stills photography. Just two different animals. This is not a party speaker and isn't for those looking for or expecting one.

So if your phone has NFC, you can just tap on it for instant connection. Nokia and JBL popularized that method many years ago.

Why does SONY insist on these names for their audio products? 🤷🤷🤷. They use good names for other things..... PlayStation, Walkman, Aibo, Vision S, Airpeak, Bravia, Alpha etc......but for some reason they refuse to name their audio products
They have the "h.ear" brand for some audio products. They haven't promoted them much though.

Then you'd have to give extra letters or names like Walkman MP3/MP4 players, Walkman headphones and after those the model names.
They should find another way to name their headphones and speakers with names like Bravia, Walkman, Xperia etc. and try to name it like they do their Xperia line up 1,5,10 and after that the II, III (mark 2, mark 3) etc.

I am from ME and we do not always get these at local Sony. However my recent visit to UK I was excited to hear this and pick one up. For my luck saw them in Harrods. I am a huge Sony fan but have two words for it "Just Rubbish". so much of disappointment. The simple UE speakers half of the price was far ahead. Yes the 360 reality was good. But it lacked so much of the real bass. (This was like a kid banging on to a aluminium sheet). Sony could do so much better, on their speakers. I want you to compare with UE and tell us the truth. Sugar coating Sony is not going to help them, may be you. They will go from bad to worst.
