I have a Retrac cover on my 2012 F 150 and am so pleased with it:

Is there a weight limit on top? I’m looking for a cover I set two camp chairs on.

Placing the clamps between the hex screws is probably a good move. In the Retrax install vid, they skip the parallel rail step you cover here, but definitely part of the written install. I had an issue where the hex screws were bending the plastic cap paneling by an inch without moving the rails. Placing the clamps the way you did likely avoids this, otherwise I had to make wooden backing blocks to do the install.

I really loved this concept on the santa cruz, Excited it's available on a maverick now. Price is simultaneously high, and good compared to other retractables I've seen. I kind of want one, at the same time I don't think it's really that much better than a $400 hard tri fold. decisions decisions....

Go with the hard tri-fold. It's way simpler and cargo can be loaded all the way to the top when all the panels are folded against the cabin. These roll-up type tonneau covers take up a lot of cargo room with that huge bin. The tri-fold also sits more flush with the bed rails.
The summary is a hard folding tonneau cover has all the benefits of a hard roll up with none of the negatives. I have the hard tri-fold on my Maverick.
Also, the clamps are much smaller with a hard folding tonneau cover... so again taking up less cargo space.

I have a new ford ranger xlt dual cab nextgen 2023 built in Australia, with 5" bed lenght (approx 148cm long to tailgate, and 142cm wide between side rail). Do you think that retrax one XR can fit my car?

With it being heavy. Does this affect the mpg in a negative way?

We have the same bed cover. I’m leaking at the bulkhead. Maybe because the seal doesn’t go all the way to the cab or maybe it’s because I have a spray in bedliner? Are you leaking there too?

I have the spray in bedliner and this cover and have no significant leaks. I do agree with the other comment that the drain tubes don't work well, especially how they're installed on this video. Good video otherwise.

I feel like too much excess water would push through but, you would always have water sitting inside the pipe.

Yea, those drain tubes are not going to work
