Some of the reviews for this don't make sense. This czcams.com/users/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA works as well as any power strip I've used. Plug in what you need, be sensible about it & keep it movin' The construction is plastic but it's a sturdy piece. It has a single toggle switch & the swivel jacks are useful as well. Plugged in next to Tripp Lite Isobar takes some of these reviews with a pinch of sumthin' - does what it says & functions properly.Had for about a month. Perfect no complaints will update if anything changes.

People keep saying the same thing about the blooming on ipad pro 12.9. "It's not an issue, during normal use you will probably never notice it." Well sadly everyone has different use cases as well as different sensitivities to different visual stimuli. The bloom on the ipad pro for me is way too noticeable and strains my eyes because over extended reading or watching sessions at night in bed, my eyes start to treat it like blurry images and starts to try to focus harder to get rid of it. In short I say if you see this jelly scroll, and if it bothers you, return the item. You shouldn't have to convice yourself by watching a youtube video to keep anything you paid your hard earned money for.

The problem is only Apple offer the return within 14 days if not happy policy,
the vast vast majority if not everyone else won't accept a return once it's been opened and used, unless it's faulty. Apple have stated this is not a fault so basically if you did not get this from Apple your stuck with it.
For me it doesn't bother me atall not one bit, it's a great ipad in my opinion.
But maybe for some it will bother them, but as I said if it wasn't bought from Apple, they have to live with it or sell it for a loss.

I bought the 16GB one and it's clear to me now that it's an experiment. First time Mini LED, slowed down Thunderbolt ports, The M1 chip is in there probably because it was cheaper to produce more of those than creating a proprietary chip for the iPad. It's an amazing machine, but I feel that Apple manipulated us into believing that all that amazing hardware would be put to use after iPadOS15. We know now that this isn't the case.

I saw this on my iphone before but didnt really mind it, it was not bad. Now I checked my old iPad in landscape mode and it has it but its nowhere near as bad as the new mini. I tested one at the store today and the jelly scrolling was very noticeable in portrait mode. Because i use my ipad in portrait mode 99% of time, I can't buy this. In a world where people are swearing by 120hz screens, there really isnt any excuse for this, ESPECIALLY considering the price. Normally, you will be holding this in portrait mode to view PDFs and other documents. Yes, I noticed it even without someone telling me about it - I was only glad someone could confirm the phenomenon I couldnt explain. Other people Ive shown it to noticed that when viewing documents, it was mildly dizzying. This is quite unlike any experience Ive had with other Ipads and definitley NOT the case with the Mini 5.

It's weird how much it wobbles even when you don't scroll fast. And also how much it wobbles for such a small screen. If the jelly effect was like maybe half or a third of what it is, then I might be able to handle it. For me the only solution is that Apple changes it to refresh in landscape orientation instead of portrait. I think it would mitigate the jelly effect compared to what it is right now.

60hz is not the problem here. My iPad Mini 5 runs on 60hz and has no jelly scrolling in portrait mode. Apple stating that this is "normal behaviour" is a joke when there is almost no other iPad with LCD that has this issue (apart from the iPad Air 4 it seems). But then again I use my iPad Mini 5 in landscape mode for 90% of the time where the ipad Mini 6 shows no jelly scrolling. It really isn't an issue on all 60hz panels.. and it's barely noticeable on a lot of other 60hz panels, to the point that people were making a big deal about it when they saw it on the Tab S5e (because everyone notices it when it gets bad). In reality some people won't notice it, but it isn't an issue in some older iPads, so I can still understand why some people are upset with it. This iPad is supposed to be my first Apple device and of course I was hoping for it to be an excellent experience if not perfect given the pretty price tag. Thing is how did other OEMs managed to avoid this hardware issue despite the lower price of their tablets? Think I'm just gonna keep my money till the mini gets updated again or the Air next year. I also tried the reg ipad and the Air 4 to see if the reported jelly scrolling in their landscape modes is true, yep, it's there too but the Mini had it worst really. Don't know whether the heads-up about this issue helped me spot the flaw quite easily coz I already knew what and how to look for it (checked on the Air before and didn't notice it probably because I have never heard about jelly scrolling back then,) but in the case of Mini 6, it's easy to spot even if you never knew about the issue before hand.

I have the new mini since a few days now. It is noticable to me. Not a deal breaker at all to me, though. But in my opinion, apple should have put it the other way around like in the air. Because especially in the mini you do a lot of vertical scrolling in portrait.
    But who knows
? Maybe apple tried it like this in some mini prototype and judged it to be even worse in landscape than how it is now in portrait
(which I could imagine is true, because the mini has the widest aspect ratio of all ipads).

Just found your channel! Amazing work! Loved this video!
So, I'm new to the whole Apple device thing. I have a windows PC, a Z Flip 3, google speakers, a Philips tv, Skullcandy Earbuds and I'm getting my first iPad...the mini 6gen! I don't really do the whole ecosystem thing with any tech I own. I never did. I get what I like regardless of weather it's meant to go together or not (unless it's an apple watch that I know won't sync to my android lol) I don't want to limit the tech I use and lock myself in to one company. If I have to press extra buttons to get things to connect and sync, then that's what I'll do. I don't need seamless connectivity 24/7.
But I've finally had enough with Samsung budget tablets! The most god aweful devices on the face of this earth. The last Android 11 update destroyed it and made it sluggish and unusable. I'm giving it to my 4yr old neice because all it can do is CZcams and kids games!! I've gone through 3 in the past 5yrs alone! Terrible devices!
I kept hearing about the jelly issue after I bought this(it's on its way to me still lol) and I was worried I bought a lemon! Seeing your video made me realize I made the right decision. Sorry for the long winded comment and a million edits lol. Insomnia has kept me up đŸ€Ł
    Take it easy!

Hey Nikki! Thanks for your comment. I'm a long time android user myself. I switched after the iPhone 5 and have used Samsung phones until 2020. When I got the iPad Pro 2020, I loved it so much and most of the apps I liked were not available on Android phones, so I switched back to iPhones. I was surprised at how far they had come since I "left Apple". The one think I did use even in my android years was a MacBook. So technically I am not fully in the Apple ecosystem, not because I had planned it but because the devices just work together so well. They reallly do a good job roping you in! I don't think you will mind the jelly scroll on the iPad mini since most if not all Android tabs have it too :)

Screen response time also plays important role, btw interesting fact, the budget non air non pro ipads have the best screen response time avging about 15-20ms black-white. This mini 6 is about 30+, and there are some 120hz pros that have 40ms. Really funny how they went for high refresh rate even though its actually half-useless without good response time.
Atm using 9th gen ipad (iOS 15.6.1, waiting for jb), the jelly effect in landscape is noticeably less visible than 4th gen air i had before (that thing bent while sitting in the backpack lol). And on the 13 pro its just non existent, the oled panel is fast af
