+ashli674 idk about now though because they have both moved in really different directions. RDJ is Mr Bigtime now & Shia moved into a more dramatic line of movies.

Hamza Hassaballa True. But looking at the line of work that RDJ did when he was younger is, imo, similiar to Shia's film work now. I'd love to see them work together at least once more. I'd also love to see RDJ leave behind the Avengers and go back to what he is best at. Don't get me wrong, love Tony Stark but he should be tired of playing that role by now, don't you think?
+ashli674 I love him as tony too but I love his more serious roles a lot more. Don't worry, in a couple more films he will be done with that role then he can get back to business.
I'm not even really sure what to say, but I feel like I need to say something. This movie is amazing... Seriously, thank you so much for uploading it. Such a moving piece of cinema.
Does anybody know the name of the ambient music in the opening scene and at the end of the credits???????? I’ve been looking for it for years now and can’t find out what the song is called or who made it!!!
“I told u I love u last time I saw u.” Notice how the father’s recollection is calm and loving in this scene....compared to the real words said in the bathroom scene. Lotta father-son relationships mirror this movie. From a guy who’s been on both sides of this coin....”just accept ur father for who he was At The Time.” Let it GO. And move forward. Namaste.
I always thought Laurie was being a hypocrite on the roof. She was one of the only people who wanted Dito to leave the neighbourhood and do something with his life. Now she’s lecturing him about abandoning his father?
She called her younger self a "dumb little girl", for more reasons than one. Also, she was angry he abandoned her. But lastly, the real Laurie died two years before Dito came back to Astoria. An interaction like this never took place.
This just shows that Robert Downey Jr. is the best actor who ever lived! That scene... how can anyone even do that?!.. But some should try to count how many times they say; fu*king, in this film...
Great movie. The only one I felt compassion for was mike though. Robert Downey Jr and Shia both acted very well, since they had the toughest roles. I just wish this was a bigger movie.
i think that is his own angst and regret portrayed and personified by the girl. from what wikipedia said, the actual laurie died so he never actually met her again.
yes but i have a great deal of experience diagnosing personality disorders. you handled that slightly more rationally then i would have expected but that doesnt make a trip to the psych ward any less urgent.
The only reason why I replied in the first place is because no human being (including me) deserves to be told to kill themselves. And I don't understand why you would wish that upon me.
hahahaha so you were checking me out eh? thats cool man. heres a hint for you. its easier get away with checking other guys out if you don't tell them.
Why would Rosario Dawson's character be so pissed that Dito left when that was exactly what she wanted him to do? Now she's all in his face about being there for his father, abandoning him and breaking his heart, when she was encouraging him to do just that earlier on?
How can you ever say that to a person? A person you don't even fucking know?!?! You have NO IDEA what a person has been through and what effects saying that can lead to. Jesus FUCKING CHRIST.
Okay, I'm not saying I'm sensitive. Because I'm not. But you can't just tell someone over the internet to kill themselves. For all you know, they actually were about to, but overcame it, and then they did. You wouldn't want that guilt. So don't say that shit. And I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have the balls to say it to someone's face.
not really, for beating up ditto? antonio beat up his 7 year old brother, he was worse than him we just see it from antonios persoective so thats who we side with
The way RDJ is acting in this scene is remarkable, the way he is showing being uncomfortable and anxious, spot on
Robert Downey Junior & Shia Labeouf.
Great performances from both.
+Hamza Hassaballa I'd love to see them in a movie together where they work together directly. Maybe they could play brothers in something?
+ashli674 idk about now though because they have both moved in really different directions. RDJ is Mr Bigtime now & Shia moved into a more dramatic line of movies.

She's really angry at him for leaving her behind but she can't admit that.
I believe I read the real Laurie died from aids
She called her younger self a "dumb little girl", for more reasons than one. Also, she was angry he abandoned her. But lastly, the real Laurie died two years before Dito came back to Astoria. An interaction like this never took place.

I think it would have been better if Furio Giunta had a much bigger role!!
What's her name, hotty, nails this scene. And I think she is Ryan gosling's girlfriend in real life. I love place beyond the pines, too.
ooooh for crryyssake dito--of course your daddy loved you--anyway---a BIG THANK YOU to "scorpiolovepeace" for getting the entire film up-
yes but i have a great deal of experience diagnosing personality disorders. you handled that slightly more rationally then i would have expected but that doesnt make a trip to the psych ward any less urgent.
Where were the Oscar nominations for this movie,a travesty.
cried like a bitch for montys speech at the end......
Touch my head 1 more fuckin time, and I'm going go Nutz! I would.have said the Said the same thing
1:46 TELL MEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
the movie was good.
@leelulove24 good for you..(^_^)
the man in the wheelchair is dito's father. the real dito who wrote and directed the film's father
I'm not sure but I'm assuming that's the real Monte, Dito's dad.
yup
grewt movie
Whatever. I meant it in a metaphorical way. I just don't understand why and person would tell another to kill themselves.
I think that's the real Monte(ditos real dad), or Antonio(I doubt it though).
Monte in the wheelchair
+Hank Cuntpunt and Antonio on the phone visiting with Dito in prison
great so you can add that to the list of things you dont understand. right after the english language and critical thinking.
The only reason why I replied in the first place is because no human being (including me) deserves to be told to kill themselves. And I don't understand why you would wish that upon me.

You obviously don't that. You don't even know me.
they really love the word "fuck"
what the fuck? I can't watch this on mobile?

You know what? You're clearly lying. You don't actually want me to commit suicide. Why would you??
Life in jail for beating up some waist of shit that started it.
+NotA Ethug he killed him
not really, for beating up ditto? antonio beat up his 7 year old brother, he was worse than him we just see it from antonios persoective so thats who we side with
+poopmcscoopface he beat up the kid? I thought he just scared him.

very intersting yet confusing movie. I think I have to watch it again when it is not so late...
