Calling him a "defensive midfielder" is UNDERSELLING him. Rodri is literally the WHOLE MIDFIELD and more. City looks completely different without him. He does EVERYTHING at such an elite level

Busquets can't even score goals to save his life. Rodri has currently scored more goals than Busquets did in his entire career. Not forgetting the important ones he scored for City (equalizer against Villa in final day of 2021-22, the winner against Arsenal same season, against Inter in the CL final)
