I’m hoping to make the transition from CB to CDM this summer. Im excited and nervous at the same time. I’m strong and i can tackle very well, but I’m not very quick. Hopefully I can position myself well so i can stop plays. Thanks for the great video!

5:45 what do you mean by not blocking the passing lanes?i thought a cdm's role was a balance between marking space/blocking passing lanes and knowing when to step in and disrupt?or do you mean setting a trap by seemingly leaving your man with space and timing your challenge when the ball is played into him?

Im usually a striker/winger or sometimes a right or left back since its the same as wing but just defend and pass, but playing pickup soccer ive been wishing tonplay more of cdm for fun so i dont get kicked a lot
