- Sea and shore rotations are each vital parts of the fleet’s mission. Find out more about life as a Sailor at sea and back home here: bit.ly/3zcyZzo
As a Sailor, you’ll rotate between commands that are at sea or on shore. Sea duty is when you’re connected to a ship, aviation squadron or expeditionary unit and you travel the world with it. You could visit foreign countries on deployment, conduct humanitarian missions or even be docked at your home base in the U.S. After a few years, you’ll rotate to land-based shore duty, where you’ll get to use your skills in a new way, get a chance to go back to school or even serve as an instructor.
Joining as soon as I'm 17!! For some reason I watch this video every day, see y'all in 2/15/2028

@@LibraWrite Hows your progress?
@@hamhami9742 Not Well, But Still Going
@@LibraWrite Keep going! You will achieve. At some point, your wight loss progress will slow down, thats the moment most people give up. Don't give up. Hit the Gym, do some workouts, eat healthy and you should be good to go pretty quick.
I am a future US NAVY SAILOR and I am enlisting in the US NAVY also I am enlisting in the US NAVY after school 🇺🇸🇺🇳 I am proud to be NAVY 🇺🇸

I love you guys you guys are awsome
Boastawains mate here! Hooyah navy
3 years in, looking towards re-enlisting for shore duty
I wonder has a sailor just kept transferring to sea going vessels as his is coming back, so he's always at sea.
I leave for Bootcamp tomorrow 🙏🏽⚓️
oh shit you too?
How did bootcamp go

As an RS I can't wait to see what shore duty is like.
BZ Sailor!
How is it being a RS ?
Well I love the sea and have a lot of time on my hands 😅
What's the worst thing, about that you were told, "You'll get used to it?"
The worst thing I was told is that
I would loose liberty or access to my love ones. Since I don’t have authentic support I’d be forced to go ANYWHERE without my children. Forced to allow my children to remain in a curse while I go the depth of the see to annihilate the monster that started it. I’m not afraid
I’m passionate about changing that. So not even the WORSE thing I was told can stop me for fighting for what I STRONGLY feel is right
They told me that… 3 years later still not used to it. Especially as a GSM
@@dafordkidfilms2264get used to what
Pulling to a foreign port is dead nowadays
Because of Covid?
They def don’t mention duty 😂
OS worst rate the NAVY has. 5 yrs ship 2 yrs shore when I was in. Couldn’t wait to get out. Non transferable skills unless you going to be a merchant marine.
Wouldn’t say worst rate, there is BM or MM they got it rough. The sea and shore rotation does suck tho
Cap.
Facts bro
Enlisting June 20th of 2025 👍
DON'T JOIN THE NAVY IF YOU WANNA BE HAPPY. YOU HAVE TO SACRIFICE THAT WHILE YOU ARE IN.
Wdymbt
Why
@@aclass1174 It's not for everyone, but some people do love it. It's their love, passion, and career. Just be careful of the rating you choose.
@@American_2 were u in?
@@American_2 is RS bad ?
SIGH. I do not want to be on a boat I just want to be a corpsman.
My dad wasn’t on a ship as a Navy Corpsman, he was in the Navy for 20yrs. He was stationed at a couple of hospitals/dispensaries and with Marines
Debating between an MA or corpsman. Heard MAs don’t get deployed as much because the ship doesn’t require many of them
Don’t join. Unless you want to do a godly amount of sweeping and cleaning, stand duty on the ship all day with 5 or 10 hours of watch. Deal with toxic leadership and using your liberty as a bait to get more work done. A bunch of Damage control drills, sometimes at 2 in the morning while on duty. And more. If that sounds like you, go ahead and join
DONT JOIN THE NAVY.
Especially in this day and age
Yea. You right. Been in for 3 years now.. as a GSM. it’s horrible. I’m lucky I’m in the yards now, but I got 2 years left, I’m not re enlisting.
