the fact wednesday after 18 games on the 1st of december had 1 win, 12 points from safety, and stayed up somewhat comfortably on that final day is baffling, some video
Comfortable you say, yes we only need 1 point from the last game but was still nervy. After last year score 96 point and not getting automatic promotion and the 4 nil comeback in the playoffs nothing is comfortable . great video

Sheffield Wednesday who stayed in relegation zone for more than 8 months from match day 2 to match day 44 and somehow managed to survive is truly insane... 😮

It’s amazing that Sheffield Wednesday was in the relegation zone for literally like the entire season until Matchday 44 and then they survived
As an Ipswich fan - looking back - it was my birthday March 9th and we were winning 1-0 against Cardiff 93rd minute. I went to queue up for a slide at Centre Parcs and when I picked up my phone we lost 2-1.
If we won that match - we would have been champions! With that said - I’m so proud of this season!

Having been at that game; we knew Cardiff were a threat from set pieces, they were all over us after our goal and it was only going one way. We then gave them the corners to confirm it. They've hit other teams similarly too.
The foul on Morsy then the offside for the first two goals at Preston though...

@@derekfrost8991 The recent investment announcement was exactly the allowed P&S (FFP) losses for 3 years, so the money is def there and signs are we're gonna make a good go of it. As long as no one poaches Kieran, think we'll manage it. Don't expect crazy heights though; even Bobby took a few years to get us properly going in the top flight.
Worst case, we drop, have the parachutes and will be in a good position to yo yo back up now.

As a Burnley fan, I'm excited to see my team sit in 19th all season 🎉
I don't think we will struggle that much if we retain some of our players just a shame that players like assignon and esteve are on loan because they probably won't come back

Avoided the bottom 3 all season and we got our reward…..survival 💚 a very up and down season, mainly down but we did what we aimed to do from the beginning, which was staying in this league and here’s to even better next season and learn from everything we did this season (I hope)! I’m looking at Luton for inspiration! I can’t wait for next season!

I feel bad for Sunderland, they started off so well and what themselves Mid-season, also Hull deserves a play-off spot, they were so good all season

Leicester fan here. Losing 11 games in the championship (1 against a struggling side who had just come up from league 1) is unacceptable. I thought they would play like Burnley last season and destroy everyone.

As a Leicester fan, I agree that it's unacceptable to lose that many games but I feel it happened more of because of mentality and not quality. Watching them play some of those games (for me the worst one was Millwall), it felt as if there was no drive, like they'd just show up, do some back passes, and win the game. I doubt we'll have a point in the prem where we're the best team in the league (although wouldn't mind it) so I'd think (hope) we should stay up.

Not a Middlesbrough fan but working there this season was stressful from relegation side at the start to a play off contender mid to end of the season

It sounds like an old cliche but the play offs are a lottery. Leeds haven’t had a good record in them though. I remember my team beating Leeds in the final in Cardiff 2006 😊 3-0.

Being a Birmingham City fan must be tough. Sacking John eustace after he had them in the playoffs all for a publicity stunt with Rooney who won 3 games I think. That really shattered any team spirit they had and also switching tactics from something that worked is stupid. Good luck next season though Birmingham
