For The Better / Poem for Fourways Community Church

The day before lockdown, I went for a run. While working off the anxiety that was creeping in, God kept laying things on my heart - all the positive things that he would do during this strange time. As soon as Susanne asked if I had anything to share, I knew why those words came to me - not only for me but for my community too. I don’t always get this faith thing right. On Wednesday, I was feeling so low but then Claire shared some Words that restored my energy. We may be apart but we’re in this together. Let’s continue turning to one another and drawing strength from each other. During hardship, God is working. He is doing good things: strengthening relationships, asking us to reevaluate our decisions, redirecting our paths. Let’s keep praying and focusing on healing, both for the virus and for life in general. // “Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.” - Isaiah 58:11-12
