    These are some awesome comparisons! I personally sold my 3070 and went to a 6800 XT for that better VRAM buffer. My experience has been great with it, and I hope that more customers can see this and make better decisions according to their own priorities.

      Looking at an upgrade from my Rtx 2060 in order to play some newer games that just came out and games coming out (like Diablo 4, forza and starfield) with better graphics and smoother game play at 1080p. I have an evga 600w 80+ gold power supply and can’t afford to upgrade my power supply along side a graphics card, it has to be one or the other at the moment. After doing some research I was going to risk it with a 6800xt but after more research I have discovered the 6700xt. Would you suggest getting the 6700xt or risking the 6800xt with my power supply?

      @@paulhord8081 Gpu manufacturers recommend more psu power than what you actually need. Your 600w psu will be fine. You just got to look up gpu tests for power spikes (highest number of wattage consumption). Then you just add in rough estimation of the wattage used by the rest of the pc parts (mainly cpu and cooler/s), and if the wattage number is smaller than the rating of psu, you're good.

    When I was willing to upgrade my venerable plain GTX 1660 (not Super, not Ti, not OC) the first option was the RTX 3060 12 gb. Then someone here at CZcams asked "why don't you..." and it was the beginning of my final decision purchasing the RX 6700 XT instead. The benchmarks didn't lie and the prices were in the same level. A few months ago I upgraded from a 1050 ti to a 6700 xt. I chose this the 6700 xt because I saw many reviewers recommend this card.
    The graphics are amazing. Fps is amazing. Temperatures are amazing. The quiet fans are amazing. I love the amd control panel.
    BUT, This is why I would NOT recommend my video card. I have a sound issue since day one. The sound in games will cut off and on 30 to 50 times a minute when it's bad and only up to 15 to 30 times a minute when it's better. Sometimes it will happen several times while just watching a video other times it won't. I searched the problem and found it to be kind of wide spread. If a youtuber doesn't experience an issue with a part then they are oblivious and proceed to recommend it. They never research possible problems with a part before recommending it. This is why you shouldn't take recommendations from a small collection of "reputable" reviewers. The sound issue is widespread and has been around since before the 6000 series. It is not all models and not all 6700 xt, but it is spread over multiple brands. Since this is a widespread and long lived issue AMD has been well aware of it yet has not fixed it. I also believe that AMD will never fix it because they either can't or won't. I believe this because the problem is not listed anywhere on their website as a known issue and it is no where to be found in their support or forums yet I've posts everywhere else on the internet about it.
    I've tried every potential "fix" that have worked for others I could find on the internet and there are many. I am not a pc novice. I am very comfortable with using ddu and installing drivers properly. With the internet disconnected to prevent Windows from downloading more drivers, I've clean out all brands of audio and video drivers from my system and disabled the other devices in the device manager as well. I've tried other reported fixes such as resolution changes, overclocking and underclocking the card, changing sample rates and bit depths and exclusive control settings, changed to better hdmi cables, some registry tweaks, tested power supply, tested pc ram, etc. etc. etc. Sometimes the fixes seem to improve the problem for a while but not for long. Someone asked why I don't just connect the pc built in audio and forget about it. Sure, I did. I had to do it because the sound issue is like like chinese water torture. I bought new ten foot audio cables and connected them. But why should I have to do that and why should I have to forget about it? I had absolutely zero sound issues with my little old 1050 ti. It just worked. It even still worked pretty darn good when I was too lazy from time to time to clean install new drivers. I don't want to have to pay Nvidia hundreds more dollars for the same performance. Oddly everyone seems to agree that the cards themselves are not defective. I don't know if the issue is compression, codecs, acceleration, conflict with windows, conflict with other hardware, or something else. If someone has a fix for this issue I please respond. I was set to become an AMD fan boy too, but at this time I cannot recommend AMD to anyone.

      @havocstormbringer1503 Před 10 měsíci

      @@CJ-wr7iz I recommend video cards work as intended, work as advertised, which is why people buy them with their hard earned money. If people are expected to buy extra parts because the gpu doesn't work properly they should have advertised that. That would basically mean you are spending as much money as you would for an nvidia card which can play sound properly with no extra parts needed. That makes Nvidia better and AMD no bargain at all. That is what your basically saying

      У меня было в пользовании 2 карты от AMD, это RX 6600XT Nitro+, карта меня разочаровала, на первой карте проблем не было кроме как высокой температуры hotspot, средняя температура чипа была 72 градуса при довольно таки не тихой работе кулера, но hotspot был 100 градусов. Во второй карте была проблема другая, температура hotspot была ниже, но была проблема с черным экраном, когда экран уходил в спящий режим, после этого не происходило просыпание компьютера, я работаю за компьютером, приходится часто отходить, и как же это раздражало, проблема исправлялась в реестре. Но зачем мне что-то еще настраивать, когда я отдаю деньги за карту? Продукция AMD нравится, но проблемы с драйверами постоянные сильно угнетают. На данный момент пользуюсь invidia.

    In my office I have 4 computers, 2 3070's 1 6700xt 1 A750. I entered the EVGA's waiting list for a 3070 a month or so after launch. In the meantime I purchased the RX6700XT at a fairly high price but in my budget. At that time I really wanted a 3070 and with no word from EVGA I found a reasonably priced MSI 3070 from China and it got stalled in customs but finally made it to me. I wasn't holding my breath to ever hear from EVGA, but in April of 2022 they notified me. This year I wasn't really looking to buy any video cards, but Intel was finally getting some good reviews so 2 months ago I had an A750 sent to me and I put together an inexpensive system to test it with. To my amazement the A750 is a really fun card to game with. The driver support is great and the community is very helpful. In my opinion all of these video cards are worth having and I don't feel the need to upgrade anytime soon.

I play on 1440p 144hz and on most older games (Dead by daylight, Tekken 7, Skyrim, no mods) the fans dont even start spinning since its below 50°C. With FSR and raytracing I have like 60 fps or so In cyberpunk and it looks amazing. Less fps but still super smooth in the star citizen alpha, but the game is far from being optimized let alone completed anyways, still very demanding and better looking than cyberpunk. Now you get it for about 380€. It really depends on the game and resolution used. DLSS or FSR at 1080p doesn’t do near as good for visuals than 1440p or 4K. Another thing I noticed when I tired out VRR is some games, the 6700 XT was so much faster than the 3060 that even with DLSS, it couldn’t catch up in performance. Also, G-Sync or freesync, doesn’t matter. They are both variable rate technology and work quite well.

    A big flaw calling the rtx 3060 the cheapest is that you referenced the 8gb instead of the 12 gb; its the biggest issue with the 3060s that people mixed the 2 because its not just different vram but different performance
    You mislabeled the section of cyberpunk 2077 1440p benchmarks which was confusing for a little bit

    • @DannysTechChannel
      @DannysTechChannel  Před 10 měsíci

      The B-Roll doesn’t matter for the 3060 considering the 12GB models are cheaper than what I showed when I made the video and if you click the link in the description, it takes you to a 12GB model anyway. The mislabeled 1440p benchmark for Cyberpunk was just a simple mistake. I’m only one man. I don’t have anyone to QC my work before uploading.

      Both have their stronger points. Nvidia has better streaming capability with NVENC but AMDs card has better gaming performance as you can see from the video. I went for a 3060 simply because I use a lot of NVIDIA features like Shadowplay and games are FINALLY using more than 8GBs of VRAM, sometimes even at 1080p. In the next couple years I think that extra 4GBs of VRAM is gonna help the 3060 hold it's ground. I also am limited by my i5 9600K so getting a 3070/6700xt just didn't fit my build without upgrading my entire setup.
    If you have a better CPU I think there's few reasons to not get a 6700xt, especially if you upgrade more often than once every 5+ years.
