It may be a lot of things, better to check what codes its showing. Maybe spark plugs, spark plug coil, O2 sensors, catalyc comverter. Had the same issue recently, changed sparkd plugs and apark plug coil, o2 sensor and everythings started to work
bro i have the same car go check your feul system idk first start with fuel pump test its pressure than go for fuel filter than if these two aren't just to make sure go check your injectors put a injector cleaner in your car and see if it runs better i would pull them out wan test them with machine and after that if it didn't fix your problem its from ignition
im a fkin mechanic dude! i only fix TU5 and TU3 engines in Iran we strip these engines apart and rebuild them like its new now cant believe you people trash these cars for such stupid failures my uncle had the same engine which was an oil burner we striped it and put a new sleeve and an lil upgraded cam shaft with new cylinder head and stiffer springs etc... it was running like a clock after that!@@peugeotguy3561
Guys I have the same problem on my 206. Everything related has been changed Spark plugs Water thermometer sensor Flywheel sensor Throttle angle potentiometer Vacuum sensor idle stepper motor Battery changed injector valves hase been washed clean. Lately I have replaced the original Vacuum map sensor into it for test, for the first round it was ok but things has been changed to "normal" non accelerating engine! Surprise🎉 things got worst! This morning I just started and the engine speed does not drop below 2500 rpm by itself in idle at 30° centigrade !? Mechanics sucks. Help needed.
Update: Problem solved at least till now. Vacuum (engine oil vapor gandering) pipes that connect air intake before and after throttle gate, valves cover has been changed and this is the second day without problem ......

Absolutely, nobody knew what the bloody hell was wrong with it. It baffled everyone... end of the story?? The 206 is dead, scrapped. It's such a shame because I'm a fan of the 206. It had 1 lady owner from new, 40,000 miles, and it was immaculate. Such a shame.
Not gonna lie, I spent £1,200 on the car and spent probably 3x as much as that on new parts, coil pack, fuel pumps, manifold, belts, exhaust parts literally everything on that car was new and nothing worked, I'd love to know what was the root cause
MAP sensor or TDC/PMH sensor (engine speed)
Can also be the ignition coils
wiggle map sensor... had the same problem on mine, check the wiring on the connection
Seems like inlet vacuum leakage look for cracks and if everything is sealed

Bolt of the camshaft was a bit loose and gives tolerance on the spine.

Had similar with my 1.1, on mine it was failing injectors combined with a crap coil pack

For me, it was a simple fix, my gass tank sensor thingi ontop of it, was broken. It could not get the desire fuel it needed.
