    Since you disconnected the battery, I believe you could have cleaned the sensor connectors as well.

    Great video, thanks for share.
    I have a question: I need to replace the wiring plug (electrical harness) since the current is broke. The colors on the replacement wire plug (gray, yellow, black & orange) that I found do not have the same colors that the current (red, blue/green, blue/white & red/white) all this watching the wire plug connected into the MAP Sensor front view. Is there an specific way to find out the correct order to connect the wires or should I follow the order as they are positioned?
    I hope to explain my self correctly.
    Thanks.

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před 8 měsíci

      I would assume you should install them is the same order as they are positioned in the original wiring plug.

    I tried to undo bolt but it was rotten and snapped. Now I cant tighten sensor. Any solutions how to remove broken bolt, do I need to remove intake manifold?

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před 2 lety +1

      You shouldn't have to remove the manifold. There should be plenty of videos on youtube showing how to remove a broken screw/bolt like this one: czcams.com/video/SMrDYJvY0Ts/video.html

      It's generally recommended that you disconnect the battery when working on any of the vehicle's electrical components.

  • @Videouploader248
    @Videouploader248 Před rokem +5

    Wtf! You dont have to disconnect battery when replacing a sensor. Just be sure the car is off thats all. Its good to disconnect te battery if you had some fault codes, and if you want to reset all values so it can re-learn the new values from the new sensor.

    what are the 'troubles' caused by a dirty air-flow sensor..??..thx...because I have micro engines cuts especially when accelerating harder (freeway)..i thought it could be a spark plugs big coil block who needs to be replaced along with new spark plugs..??

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před rokem +1

      There are a few issues that can be caused by a bad map sensor which could also be similar to other issues with the engine. A failing ignition coil pack or spark plugs could be causing the poor acceleration or even something as simple as a clogged fuel filter. Check this link: mechanicbase.com/engine/map-sensor-symptoms/

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Před rokem +1

      The MAP sensor provides instant intake manifold pressure information to the engine's electronic control unit. The data is used to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel delivery for perfect combustion
