I just picked up the Stronghold 200+XL and neither of the compartments could hold a fully double sleeved edh deck. I use KMC perfect hard inner and Dragon Shield outer. No amount of scrunching the deck to get air out helped. Was short by like 10 cards.
Are you sure you didn't get the 'classic' stronghold? The XL line was supposed to fix that issue. I use Dragonshield Mattes and Perfect Fit inners and they fit just fine.
How many single-sleeve cards can you fit in one of the trays? Do you think you could get 120 into one of them? I'd love to carry my EDH deck and a couple Pauper decks in one of these.
