- In todays video I wanted to share my thoughts on the "all new from the ground up" figures of 2023, and which one I thought was the best of the bunch. Stay tuned to see my ranking of characters that were 100% newly-tooled, which ended up being a total of 16 new figures out of the incredible 80 figures released and acquired in 2023. TVC was looking pretty good this past year. This is the way!

Only 16 newly tooled figures out of 80 this past yr? Interesting. I didn't know we had 80 figures come out this yr . And 20 of them were Darth Vaders and Boba Fetts.
They are starting take the p with Boba Fett's, and yet we still haven't had Empire version somehow
Hahahaha there were definitely a lot of Boba Fetts.
Fortunately there were more New Tools this year, than the previous, and a good amount of the Partial Tools used excellent modern tooling to get us some good figures like Pre Vizsla and Jedi Training Luke.

I love that Ashoka HK droid card back and color scheme I had to keep him carded next to Moff Gideon and his Dark trooper...
I totally agree, stunning figure and solid card back for sure. The HK was a wild card, I'm still shocked how good that figure is ✨👌😃✌️✨
Your ranking is pretty spot on. Top 5 is exactly mine as well. Sabines helmet is less of an issue for me than I thought it would be and I usually end up posing her with it on. The lot cat is such a nice add. The HK droid is fantastic as well, tvc beats the black series version.
Thank you! It's certainly challenging ranking these characters since they are all magnificent. The loth cat alone was cool enough for me to look past the helmet, that and I was able to acquire and paint a better 3D printed one. I really hope we see some HK repaints and the versions from Mando S2...TVC is the way ✨✨✌️😎✌️✨✨
Morgan Elsbeth was actually my favourite of the "all-new" figures. The lack of accessories is a bummer but she is otherwise such a fantastic execution of a bit of an unexpected character that I have to love her. We don't get enough old ladies in the line. Ackmena next!
Edit: Okay, I like the Imperial Officer sculpt more than her, but that's more based on happiness of that tooling being available than passion for one figure/character.
I definitely agree with you, she's excellent, and her legs/arms seem like they will be repurposed for Asajj Ventress, who's very high on my wishlist! I am really looking forward to a possible Blade of Talzin release for Morgan. The officer sculpt was also a huge turning point this year as there are so many characters we can get out of that tooling. ✨👌😃✌️✨
I wish tvc would give swappable hands similar to marvel legends… she should have “magic” hands at the very least…‘it’s criminal she had no accessories. great figure though.

I think Kuiil came in as a surprise for me. Not only is he packing great articulation for a smaller figure, the way his knee joint is implemented means he effectively has a calf swivel to make the most out of his rocker ankles.
Kuiil was a spectacular release back in the end of 2021. He's still one of the best smaller characters we have seen ✨👌😃✌️✨
Surprised Bane wasn't the top spot, Paz possibly best figure this year imo, maybe because we waited for him for ages and it was bang on

It was so challenging to rank these, since each one of them is an all new from the ground up figure, and sporting the best articulation. But some of them had some minor set backs that helped me make those decisions.
Like Bane's coat, it looks good, but he can't sit on a chair, also his arm can't achieve that full 90 degree bend, and I would have liked to see just a pit more range of motion on the head, allowing him to tip his hat further down in a classic western manner. All of these made him just shy of perfect, but there's no doubt that he is a phenomenal figure.
I totally agree with you that Paz was such a long awaited figure, and once we saw how great he was, I knew he would be top 5 for sure. 🎉🎉👽👽🎉🎉

In my opinion I think Darth Raven was the best figure from 2023 he is definitely mine number one from 2023 because he is the best figure so he is number one on my list has a awesome figure and the best figure in my collection.

Great video brother and I would agree with Paz visla it seemed like forever until he came out and I'm serious I felt like a kid waiting for Christmas morning once I seen him on the shelf at Target it was a home run and the HK droid and Pre VIZSLA those are my favorite this year even though Pre VIZSLA isn't a new tooling I still have to ad him. Excellent breakdown man! Good idea going with only all-new figures, keeps things much simpler, lol. Can’t argue with your list. I ranked Hunter and Sabine much lower because of their helmet size (punishing Sabine more than Hunter, pushing her out of my Top 10) but if you take the helmet size out of the equation they are both excellent figures. As per usual, I will be stealing many of your posing ideas for my display, lol.

Yeah I agree with you on those helmets, Hunters is the lesser of the two blunders, but fortunately both characters remove them quite often, and they just pose so well. If Sabine had a proper one she def would have won my list. Hahaha 375 posing is the way! Happy New Year man 🎉✨✌️😎✌️✨🎉

I skipped on half these figures. I’ve only been collecting for 3 years and I’ve seen the price of a SWTVC figure go from $15 to $30 a figure. Look at the price of a 6” Hasbro figure with 10 accessories and it’s $25, we are getting hosed. This channel is the only thing keeping me interested in the line.
Yeah I know, it's been a bit of a drag, especially with army builders, but I think Hasbro is starting to realize that. And there's been some decent deals out there to help even things out. Mainline is still not too bad, and every Target I have gone to has them on shelves for the older MSRP of $12.99 luckily. Definitely appreciate your support and dedication to the channel man. @@ToysAreTheWay I live in HI and we can’t pre-order from Target. Our Walmarts and Targets do not carry TVC. I went to Target yesterday and they still had ESB Lando and 1 Sabine for $29. Sabine might look great but that price and helmet is a NO-GO at this station. It’s also irritating we buy this stuff then they give us an upgraded stuff just wasting more money. I’m sticking to vehicles. This channel still rules.
Bib isn’t brand new though? He uses parts from the ROTJ version. Or does that count because it’s the same character?
He actually doesn't use any parts from the ROTJ release. The arms are different and much more hefty to resemble his larger stature ✨👌😃✌️✨
How was the 30th anniversary Revan inaccurate?
It was based off of fan art rather than approved Lucasfilm images. It's also a bit of a salt shaker compared to this new glorious release ✨✌️😎✌️✨
No new clone mold on the list?
The clone trooper is just shy of 100% newly tooled since it uses the same head that we have been seeing on the arc troopers and previous releases. But its certainly worthy of an honorable mention! ✨🤘😁🤘✨

hinged wrists are unnecessary
They actually help quite a bit for posing with rifles and especially Lightsabers! The hinge allows for that perfect angle when a Saber is slashed downward, at least when I am taking photos or setting up my collection displays. ✨🤘😁🤘✨

Revan's a beast no doubt about that. Character favoritism aside, she took the W in my book due to her articulation being a bit more refined, but definitely share your list! I definitely want to see how you would rank them and why. ✨🤘😎🤘✨
