Been playing this beloved song over and over tonight & landed on this version. Get as emotional and goosebumpy as when first heard it ca 50 years ago. Love DDY & all even more for the opening line: seamless grace ... no error in life flowing joyously ... perfectly ... They play this song w same passion as ever. Grateful to them for their music
Thanks for the post Styxter...This is clearly one of the best songs of my generation...I'm a big Styx fan and wore out The Grand Illusion, my first album, back in 1977...this song, of course pre dates that...Thanks for the post...
This is what a true pro does when they screw up (as ALL the pros do). Dennis is a class act and never broke. Just started over. It's entertainment folks. Enjoy it!
Nothing worse than coming up to the next line of a song as a singer and you suddenly can’t remember the first word of the next line. It happens. It’s a nightmare moment. I’ve been there. But DD recovers well. A true professional to recover. I was singing with Led Zeppelin and this happened in New York. I was out and Robert Plant was in.
I thought he made a great recovery. I wonder how many non-Styx fans even knew the difference? The song sounded great, as did Dennis' voice. This was an excellent appearance.
Dennis handled it better that I would've. I would've just stopped and yelled "AW, SHIT!" right there on live TV. I would've let it get to me. (That is why he's a profession and I'm not.) :D
wow-- OOOPS-- foget the(YOUR OWN) lyrics much ? Dennis needs a refresher .. ?? ♦ Lady, when youre with me Im smiling Give me all your love Your hands build me up when Im sinking Just touch me and my troubles all fade Lady, from the moment I saw you Standing all alone You gave all the love that I needed So shy, like a child who has grown ►
I've never seen video of Dennis messing up. Seen him in concert too. I initially thought it was a short version of some kind, but obviously not due to singing the lyric at the right time later. Man Styx got pimped in 1990, lots of exposure it seems. Then A&M dumped them.
teldar2009 ~ Chuck Panozzo hasn't died, that was his twin brother John Panozzo who passed away on July 16th of 1996. Although, Chuck only comes on stage occasionally, due to his health.

good to see John in this video, his last tour with the band
Wow, I caught it right away. I must say Dennis is a true professional. Didn't miss a beat. Went with it, all so smoothly and finished strong!
Professionalism At Its Best.Great Recovery
I saw them on this tour. It was a fantastic concert.

RIP John P You R Missed
Great save Dennis!! This proves that they weren't lip syncing to a pre-recorded track! LOL
The Late Great John Panozzo! Love the Blond look
What a great bass line
Yes, you are correct sir!
Really all man should play this for their lady ❤❤❤
Love the recovery from the flub by the way...Nice....

In all fairness it was the first time in 8 years he sung it

Wow a Dennis Blunder during Lady?

Yes, I did the same thing singing with Journey in '77, and next thing I knew, some guy named Steve was all over the radio while I was mopping floors.
Keep in mind prior to this, Lady hadn't been played live by Styx since 1980.
@@TheMICMusicInspirationChannel No, they did not.

did he screw up the first verse?
This comment is as old as me but yes he did screw up the first verse

Gee Didn’t see to miss Tommy at all..
Umm...It is Dennis.
So sad the original line up parted ways. Chuck P. died, and the rest just couldn't see eye to eye. What a shame.

Yeah, flub at the beginning but I'd rather hear/see actual live people doing actual live things mistakes and all. IMO it makes it more authentic.
Wow did he ever have a brain fart at the beginning of this song! The rest of the band must have been thinking nice screw up on national TV!
And one more thing This is not Styx
I see only 2 original members....
stratodanster Count again my dude.
Four original and Glen..
Where's Tommy, forget this, Shaw was STYX.
Tommy left the band. They had no choice but to hire Glen Burtnick. I think Glenn was awesome. 😎
Ha- thats rediculous! YOU write the song...? You DONT FORGET THE LRYICS,!! Just a classic FAIL..--
but still a great tune→don't get me wrong.
@gahloot a brain fart is what Tommy and Jy had when they hired Gowan..to bad the smoke never cleared..
