Jy's perm cracks me up! It was like the 2nd season of the Brady Bunch, everyone got perms! Great version of this song. One of Dennis' finest vocal moments.
No, I wasn't trying to pull any one's leg, I wasn't aware that STYX broke up shortly after this song in "91, I think the whole legal thing went down a few years later. Sorry, my bad! M.C.
That IS Dennis DeYoung, not Gowan. Also, it's ONE of the last live performances by John Panozzo. By that time Chuck Panozzo had been diagnosed with HIV. This is from 1991 when they released their album Edge of the Century (Hall is actually showing the vinyl LP when he introduces the band.) The classic Styx line up reunited for the Return to Paradise tour in 1996. It was when they recorded Brave New World in 1999 and planned the subsequent tour that the legal battle ended it all.
Where is the supposed leader of the band ? Did he quit again ? You know the rock and Roll virtuoso with such hits as Little Girl World, What If, and Cold War, this is a ripoff. No Tommy Shaw no Styx yeah right
DeYoung's voice is one of a kind. Just gorgeous on this song. Nice video post!
This has always been one of my favorites of theirs. It sure speaks to the state of our world right now.
Thanks Dennis for such a powerful song.
Great song! I remember seeing this on tv back in '91. Wish they'd reunite with Dennis. The man has a golden voice.
God Bless You Dennis. Thank you for the music.
