Young Joseph attacks quickly and in a carefree way, usually getting punished in the end, but dealing crazy damage, and Old Joseph attacks with precision and waits for an opening on his enemy, leading to devastating attacks, that's some attention to detail!

Having seen the anime now, I finally understand all the references this game has compared to when I first played it like 20 years ago. Holy cow this was like a love letter to the Jojo series, and they tried to pack it with as much love and references as they could. They did a phenomenal job considering it was a 2d fighter!
Old comment, but Capcom were huge fans of Jojo. Guile is inspired by Polnareff and has Stroheim's hair and named after J. Geil, Dhalsim's limb stretching ability is another Jojo reference, and Darkstalkers has a few Jojo references as well, such as a vampire (Jedah) who has a leaning pose and how Donovan operates much like a stand user.
Back in the 90's Capcom didn't fuck around with their licensed properties. They snagged the X-men and Marvel licenses because everyone around the office were such superfans that they'd import the comics from America and do their own translations; Capcom funded the X-men 90's anime in Japan just to prompote CoTA. When they made HFTF it came from that same place of love and they even got Araki to do a ton of new art and designs for things that were never seen in the OVA and Manga. You can really tell that they loved part 2 because besides Young Joseph, there's unused files for the pillarmen as well.

Young Joseph didn't go full power because if he killed Oldseph, he would have died.. but since Oldseph is old he forgot about the consequences so he created a time paradox to create another ver. of himself but they would have still died cuz Youngseph is now dead... there's never a future without a past! and this is how Oldseph stupidly killed himself

I just thought of something funny, what if some little kid who has never heard of jojo before played this game at a friend's house or something and see they unlocked young joseph and since the game call him jojo and the game is called jojo's bizarre adventure they thought young Joseph is the main character, imagine if they see the manga or anime like years later and find out that young joseph is not the main character that would be funny

The battle started with them both fighting on a flying vehicle, then proceeding to crash that said flying vehicle, and then deciding to run away.
i like how in the second round, it seems that old joseph is beating young joseph but then he comes back and he comes back HARD like in the anime!

In all honesty I have been playing for a little over a year and I realised that young Joseph and Old Joseph are both equally matched it just depends on the player and how they play.
