I remember when My Ding A Ling was a hit. I really liked the follow up single Reelin' N' Rockin'! In 1988 I got one of my first cd box sets it was Chuck Berry 3 cd's. I was amazed at the wealth of material!!! Chuck Berry is the real deal! His cd The Great 28 should be in everybodys collection!!

He dances, duckwalks, plays incredible rythm, & talk to the audience...saw him twice in such a performance...with good musician. And, 6 times were he was just terrible. It's ok.That was Chuck the Greatest! Pure magic when ...he wanted.
He's a living legend, and I love his music, but my respect for him waned somewhat when I saw an interview someone did with Brian Johnson of AC/DC. As you rock fans probably know, AC/DC always idolized Chuck Berry and were greatly influenced by the likes of him and Little Richard. According to Brian, he asked for Chuck's autograph, to which Berry replied, "I only sign one autograph a day, and I already signed it." Sure it's easy to forget who made you your millions.
@melkiemelkie i agree that it doesn't make him a good guitarist -- it makes him the GREATEST guitarist for anyone (like me) who truly loves rock'n'roll (and please feel free to look for a better performance than the one posted here -- there are many)
