I played bass for Chuck for awhile in 1966 when I was 17. A great memory that I'll forever will cherish. l'm still out on the blues circuit, and I always do this song. Long live Chuck Berry.

Saw him in 1960, after the concert he pulled out of the parking lot in a big black limo. He had the driver stop when he saw us autograph hounds, and rolled his tinted window down about 2 inches. I asked, cause I couldn't see him."Are you Chuck Berry?" He quickly replied....." Mornin, noon, and night!" Then he gave me and others his autograph. Whenever I hear him make that guitar of his ring like a bell I think of that night. Rock n Roll will never die!

Isn't he awesome! My very first album ever at just 12 years old was Chuck Berry's Golden Decade Vol 2, 2 album set, still got it, still play it, and just love old Chuck. Don't care about the "stories" what he did or didn't do, just love his music and how he comes across as a musician, his style is like no other. He inspired so many and brought Rock n Roll to the world, there is only one Chuck Berry, cheers to that! Play No Money Down Chuck, play No Money Down, Lol!

As a kid learning the guitar Chuck was a big influence. I love the tunes but it's his stage persona that grabbed my attention the most. Random jazzy guitar twang mixed with a natural ability to entertain through dance, plus he liked talking to his audience's & he delivered continuos un planned ad lib style vocals that ranged from raucous to gentle & soft. He made the guitar look like a fun thing to play. His softer mellow jazz jingles were lesser heard than his big hits. Some of these rare gems can be seen on documentaries & that concert footage in the 90's when he played with Kieth Richards. We love Chuck r.i.p.

He's just as much a legend as Muddy Waters. Chuck probably had the most influence on young guitar players. A lot of great rock and roll bands from 60's to the 90's and he lived to see it all . Chuck had his Gibson buried in there with him when passed. Played like he was born with it maybe he was
