Full Route Visual | First Leicester 22 - Evington to Rushey Mead | 35176 (SK16 GUJ)

Part of the road at the end may have been lost due to overheating thanks to a slow red light but I didn't give up yet, I just smoothly filled the lost gap up to the following bus stop with footage from last year's visual - the only problem was that I had to download it due to me already deleting the original clip so the quality dropped.
All the same this is still my much better done 22 visual from Evington to Rushey Mead. I thought I'd be here forever
And apologies for that little hiccup getting out of the bus station, my phone was tricking me and going off but still recording, I panicked and stopped.
Experiences: I've used this route a few times from Leicester to Ethel Road to not only to get my First leather seat fix but this is a great alternative for me to get to the General Hospital without going through Highfields.
How I felt: I'm not gonna lie, after a failed and blurry attempt in May, I'm starting to find the northern end of this route quite a drag. As a regular 5A user last year, I already knew how busy Melton Road's stops can get. It seems drivers get no choice but to slow down on the smooth bits because of heavy traffic and busy stops, but then bomb it along the bumpy roads like Gleneagles Avenue and around Evington.
As of August 2021, the 22 no longer runs the section to Rushey Mead. Those journeys are now operated by service 4. This leaves the 54 as First Leicester’s sole cross city service.

This brought back a LOT of memories for me. I used to take the 22 frequently during the 80s and 90s from the city centre to where Barkby Rd turns onto Gleneagles Ave....I used to live on Roseneath Ave. It seems like there are a lot more trees lining the roads now.

A B7TL was on the. 88/A yesterday, in the form of 32646.

@@CS_22 trust me im not joking It probably was covering that route because i got into town for 7:50am off the 158 and went to get a bus to saffron lane and got greeted by 32643 at 7:58 on the 88A.
