Here's a scenic full route visual of the 153 from Leicester St. Margaret's Bus Station to Market Bosworth…well, that bit's complicated. It doesn't even have a even frequency.
Run by Arriva at Thurmaston (previously Coalville until it was made an outstation), the route is via Highcross, West Bridge, Western Park, Braunstone Crossroads, Leicester Forest East, Kirby Muxloe, Desford, Newbold Verdon, Barlestone, Osbaston Hollow, Nailstone, Barton-in-the-Beans, Carlton and then into Market Bosworth.
Services that leave at 28 past each hour go all the way to Market Bosworth while those that leave at 55 past just run to Newbold Verdon. Also, in April 2017, the service was cut in Nailstone, Barton and Carlton much to the anger of locals, but was re-instated that summer, but only every 2 hours, and those journeys cut back to Market Bosworth Square, while those that terminate at the marina continue to bypass those villages.
I wanted the original route before all that happened, so 4767 did the main bit to the square, while 4776 did the bit from the square to the marina on another day.
Service 153 no longer uses SMBS. It now starts on the new Savoy Street, which has replaced Haymarket and Churchgate so they can be pedestrianised. As a result, it is also the new starting point for services 50, 51 and the 104.

A bus route I knew very well in the 80's & 90's, although back then it was Leicester Citybus operated. Mainly with AUT Y Metrobus/Alexanders (seen as "Gibson 1, 2 or 3" by us students at Bosworth) or newer Dominators. Occasionally Dennis Falcon/Duples were on it off peak and very occasionally a Metropolitan would operate on it.
