its sad how we went from 'little dark age subaru rally' to Little Dark Age - Combustion Engines
That's the exact path how I got to this video

you know its gonna be an emotional video when it starts off with class B rally 😢
Group B. Clearly proof that you probably weren’t around during the “good old days”.
@@endgamerplays yeah i wasnt around for the "good old days" but i only recently started getting into rallying so im still learning.
@@endgamerplays He's new to rallying. Don't act like you were either since you're making roblox videos like an 11 year old.

This one made me cry 😭
I don’t think Lada ever made airplanes?

heres hoping that a clean fuel is developed instead of evs
ethanol
evs will fade away
@@paulwiliam247 Ethanol is a scam trying to pass itself as clean fuel, you need to cut down a lot of vegetation and fields in order to produce the plants that will generate the fuel, and in the end it will be even less efficient than gasoline.
The only reason why it's still alive in 2022 in the consumer market is because of lobbying
@@alpha-cf2oi exactly it will not work the government is exaggerating about ICE cars causing pollution just wait on it
F1 has gone to a full biofuel for 2026 and the entire VW Group is all over it now. There is hope.
When I heard that Audi Quattro, I immediately got goosebumps and my eyes teared up...
Don’t forget about Ken miles
I did whenever my dad started his up.
Growing up in the 2000s, I feel honoured to have witnessed what now feels like the final gasp of ICE beauty. The second hand car market was full of 10-20 year old gems, Top Gear was celebrating the culture, and motorsports worldwide were using the most amazing engines constructed.
Turning on the TV to hear near 1000bhp V10s screaming during a Grand Prix was something else; I can only imagine what a full grid would have sounded like live.
I am disappointed to know that I am part of the last generation growing up loving combustion engines. The way things are going, it seems like the next generation of roadgoing vehicles are going to have more in common with a microwave than a motorcycle.
Comparing 0-60 of an electric car to a real performance cars is like comparing microwaves to a BBQ, it’ll cook faster but nobody wants a microwaved burger
@@J3rryTortoise amen brother
Microwaves are cool
Hey, I hope that there is a solution to this. Did you know about ReduX? On the one hand with the ReduX converter, on the other hand in the production of bioreactors for the sustainable production of synthetic fuels, which can alsobe used as kerosene, gasoline or diesel. I guess it is a problem solver
@@juliasagan695 I had heard about that, and I knew that Porsche was putting some research into biofuels rather than electric like every other brand. In my mind it seems like a far better solution, and one I vehemently support; keep the soul in cars but also make it so that soul doesn't harm the environment. For now though, I don't think I'll be giving up my combustion car, I just can't help but look at the unremarkable, bland driving experience that is an electric car.
This makes me so incredibly sad to know that fun new cars will never be a thing in just a few years
it will electric will not work out just give it time

I saw a comment that describes what’s happening with cars perfectly.
We’re in an era where it’s most popular to make suv and electric cars like how from the 60’s to 2000 it was best to show why you should buy from a company because that was the popular medium at the time, Racing. But what the companies don’t realize is that they’re alienating certain groups of people from what they like to what investors want to see. They may say that they do it because “you”asked, but it’s because some investors said what they wanted from their soulless corporation.
They're going for the bigger and safer buck per bang which is understandable, developing cars is becoming more expensive as time goes on due to many reasons and testing with waters is a much bigger crash for the company than ever before.
Well, this video can actually bring tears.
Combustion engines are not healthy, but it..They..they make us live
They contribute 4-7 percent of pollution most pollution is caused by the government
I still hope to see EVs failing miserably. Unfortunately it's getting harder and harder to fight against this stupid agenda
just give it time they will fail miserably its not enough material for them we dont have the infrastructure for it and ICE cars make up 3-7 percent of pollution around the world most pollution is caused by the government and their doings
Fax
This. I like the Leaf and some other similar EV but all of these EVs won't last long after the ICE ban.
what about the enviroment though?
@@taurus6392 EVs do so little for the environment, it is a pointless agenda to spend all this time and money on. You could flip a switch and convert every single car on the planet to an EV tomorrow, and in the absolute best case scenario you reduce global carbon emissions by 2-3%
The only car company that I can understand doing all electric is Rolls-Royce, considering one of their old advertisements stated that the loudest that you could hear was the clock in the interior.
What helps me get through these dark times are these videos, because I feel there less about what a car is today, But a celebration of what they were in the past...
Somebody has to make a 'Mr.Indredible discovers the truth' meme of this, the Lotus and Dodge ones hit especially hard
omg starting with the S1 and ending with the 917, just perfect choice
This edit captures the way I feel about current and future car trends pretty well. It's not even that I hate EVs; it's just that I am in love with the internal combustion engine, and I'd hate for EVs to be the only option. Thank you for making this.
Whilst I am really behind the eco-friendly movement, I wish that instead of going electric we could find other synthetic fuel sources that don’t harm the environment so we can keep good sounding cars
Hydrogen combustion, I know what your thinking… but you just haven’t thought about the right oxidizer yet 😈💣
@Alex Irizarry Toyota actually made a hydrogen combustion engine and put it in a race car. Problem is that hydrogen combustion is a lot less efficient than converting hydrogen to electricity for an electric motor. It could however be a thing for sports cars in the future.
Porsche is trying its best, but we all know it won't work...Way too expensive
@@pedinhuh16 I feel like the best hope is that they still make I.C.E. Cars for enthusiasts and racing, while the mass market gets electric cars, similar to MF Ghost
ICE cars arent even the main things that contribute to pollution its many other things the government is exaggerating
Bro, I almost want to start combustion emgine revolution against electric cars. You can go ahead and make electric cars, but you cant kill the combustion engine till I'm dead.
Amazing edit keep up!
And now the Ford Mustang is the last remaining muscle car in the USA.
😢
This whole electric car thing will never happen. You know how I know?
Because I don't see the oil sheikhs worried.
After all, a full transistion of electric cars will be done several years later after they switch to full electric. Many people around the world need a car to get to places, because the electric Cars are so expensive the people won't have the money to buy any. People still buy older used cars because the new ones are expensive.
nice vid keep up the good work :)
theres no point of banning combustion engines altogether, diesels have 40 times more footprint and they are more common. banning diesel probrably would be enough for the environment tbh.
Beautiful Video, respect 👍
Beautiful video my friend.
Porsche please come up with that synthetic fuel!
My grandfather lived through the original muscle car era, and watched the muscle cars die. He said “We thought that they would build cars that way forever. But they didn’t. But something that will always exist, regardless of what cars are being built, is some guy in his garage tinkering on an old car.” We just have to come to terms with living in the past.
Very true. As someone that owns both EV and ICE, I can see the benefits of both cars. But at the rate EVs are improving, it's just a matter before we hit a watershed moment. And EVs will last for god knows how long before another new tech comes and then there will be a little dark age for EVs
Sadly the production of an electric car is worse for the environment than a normal car ever will be in its lifetime. So we will lose this for no good reason either
How so? I mean I know about the lithium problem, but why would it be worse?
@@adrianoarne-ritz249 It's not just Lithium in Electric Car batteries, there's also other rare earth metals like Cobalt and Nickel in there. Don't forget the issue of charging them. A lot of charging stations come from the mains which is connected to the grid which, in many countries, is still powered by petrol and coal. If you want an environmentally friendly car, buy a petrol car.
@@raymonderrity1419 Yeah, that makes sense, but with the oil supply being what it is I don't think petrol would be viable in the near future. The switch must be made sooner or later. Honestly at this point I think we should just go back to walking as a mode of transportation and let whatever oil we have left be used only for public transport, industrial and motorsport use

Best little dark age edit, by far
As my dad once said, "STUPID ELECTRIC S**T!!!"
Legend group B never dies in memories

Dude this video literally made me cry…
From those high pitch beautiful V10's to 1.6 liter V6 with 50/50 mechanical and electrical power split and FIA not gonna stop ths change
Literally gave me goosebumps. I hope we can save combustion engines.
We're the generations that will see the combustion engine die. No more exhaust sounds or incredible high RPM, just a little, quiet sound of an electric motor spinning around.
oh hell no
My biggest nightmare is coming true slowly.
electric will not last long trust me
@@nastynick7125 I hope so because I am young and the future seems depressing. I don't want to live in the era with this electric bullshit
@@ciemny9410 government is just corrupt and greedy and filled with people who are stupid it will not last long and the environment and we will also pay the price to its not enough material to mass produce these and they will end up using the whole worlds supply of lithium to mass produce these if we run out of that then say bye to phones and things like that
Imagine you going to a car meet at 2035 and the sounds are just 'mmmmhhmhmhh'
theres apparently still hope since a lot of other companies other than the ones listed in this video arent going full electric. plus the goverment logically cannot ban gasoline since almost every type of vehicle as of now uses even a bit of gasoline.
the state has to agree to banning the sale of new gas cars but it wont last long at all
The use of the Jim Clack footage at the end just tells you that recing will never be beter than what it was.
It's no longer about domestic vs import, muscle vs tuner vs exotics, forced induction vs naturally aspirated, rally vs track, drag vs drift. It's about internal combustion engine vs EV now.
This video will age well
I want to see electric cars try, and fail miserably, nothing outclasses the classic combustion engine
Well... Unfortunately, that isn't how it works. Electric motors have a lot of straight up advantages outside of weight, and if batteries get more and more compact or generators get lighter, that will solve the only major downside. Instant torque, programmable drive for perfect grip, lack of necessary gear ratios, etc.
I do agree though, there is something special about an actual ICE.
i cry everytime
i got chills
Goodbye old friend, you will be missed.
"You will miss me when I am gone.".
I’m not crying, you’re crying!!!
Enough to make an old man cry
I get goosebumps when I hear a GTR... I mean... the real one. A Skyline.
That sound gives goosebumps. Not even the overrated R34...
The R32 is just enough to make your whole day.
Enough to hear what a real car sounds like. A godzilla's roar. The unyielding rage, a voice of raw, unfiltered power itself. A GT-R engine.
jdm fanboys never fail to disappoint. stop lusting after an overpriced 30 year old car and grow up
Enough to make a grown man cry.

im going to get my first car hopefully late 2023-2024, i’ve been struggling on cash since im a minor, but im keeping that shit for as long as possible to keep these engines around.
this would be an amazing try not to cry challenge tbh. this makes me so sad for some reason
It may be hard to accept it,but it's all for our own good boys.
I still say things like sports cars should have some sort of exemption for the combustion engine ban. They're a small percentage of the cars on the road and thus have a small overall impact on emissions. The combustion engine might soon no longer make logical sense in automobiles (things like diesel locomotives and ships will likely be around for another century or so) but that doesn't mean they can't still be in new cars. For example: in the modern day, a manual transmission makes absolutely zero logical sense when compared to; traditional automatics, DCT, CVT* (the newer ones are better now), and ESPECIALLY hybrids (eCVT, series-hybrids). However, (some) people still buy them because they're fun.
Also, as someone who even drives an EV (Chevy Spark EV), electric cars don't fix that many issues. Some actual solutions are: more public transit, better bike infrastructure, moving freight by trains instead of trucks, and providing shore-based electricity to cargo ships so that they don't need to run generators to provide power (one cargo ship idling in port can be equivalent in pollution to 50,000 cars).
I do appreciate the cleaner and in some ways more efficient nature of EVs, but the sound and power of ICEs I will forever miss
The Audi Quattro literally gives me shivers
Goodbye old Friend :(
lets make this time end with a big bang
I will be happy if they somehow keep the smell, performance, the feel and most importantly the Sound of these legendary combustion engines !
I know its too much to ask for but hey the tech is evolving really fast ! So who knows ?
nice
Ev's may be our future, but there isnt a future without a past
Were never going to hear the supra brataktaktak and the skyline stututu and rotary engine brap brap brap
R.I.P HOOKER HEADERS,COMP VALVE, ROYAL PURPLE OIL,CASTROL,NX NITROUS,BORLA EXHAUST SYSTEM,KN FILTER,HKS.😢
It really pains me to say this but there is nothing any of us can do. The execs of these companies made their final decision and to them we are just mere customers. If we want a sports car they'll make it - the only catch being it's electric. They would be expecting us to accept it. The only thing that matters to all the enthusiasts including me right now is that the ICE survives AT ALL.
Why I want to become a racing driver. Might be the last decade or so of combustion engines.
ah yes, im following a dream that is slowly fading, a 300zx.
Ethanol is also a renewable fuel, and produces more HP than gasoline, so it's probably going there before 100% electric worldwide
sad to see them go
Traveling to germany to still see fuel filed cars
Rip…🫡
*Ram just chilling in the background knowing fully well they cant make a electric truck*
I might keep a combustion powered car in my garage anyway
Combustion engines will never die unless we stop using them, i will keep using and prefering an actual engine over a battery until my last breath. And no law will make do it
good times, The truth is I don't want to drive in a washing machine with wheels.
They won't take me alive! 'drives off in a twin turbo v8'
good news they will run out of battery before they can stop you
damn the electric cars
This made me sad.
Fun fact: you can still buy fossil cars after 2035
this is the BEST time sadly its about to finish who it says in the video...
well there are still cool electric cars like Porsche Tayacan or Audi E-Tron gt, but I still prefer the ICE engine more than any other drivetrain
Everyone’s sold on the idea of electricity being ‘clean’ but no one is asking what the source of said energy is😂.
Thank you God that I wasn't born in the future
What saddens me is that when I am old enough to have the knowledge to have a custom car build and the money to pay for it, combustion engine parts are not going to be in production anymore making them either really hard to get or really expensive :(
Lets see how they sort out the power shotages.

I've come to inform you guys that the ice will live the Germany and Italy opposition against the ban has finally concluded and we won(Ferrari also was against this ban and they will still be able to make ice cars only if they run with efuels which this leaves a open question if other companies will follow also like Lamborghini Maserati etc will see), long live the ice engines
