My oldest was more interested in the dog, the cat(s), and stories. One of my all-time favorite memories is when he pointed at the window and said, 'Look. Quirrel.' Yup, there was a squirrel sitting on the windowsill. He was about 15 months old. My youngest liked to go nude and argue. :D

I adore Anderson Cooper's giggle.
To a kid his son's age, just about anything can become a toy. My nieces are two, and their favorite things to play with are pots, pans, and cookie sheets.
When my son was two, he used to take pans and pots from the kitchen and "cook" in his little playground like adults.
when my grandkids were very young. We had the most fun ever. On the kitchen floor. I let them get all the canned foods out. We rolled them around. They made towers. I gave them wooden spoons. Pans and oatmeal boxes. I encouraged them to make all the noise they wanted to. All kids love boxes too. I put a rope or a tie on the front of a box and pulled them around the house in it. Parents don.t need to waste their money on expensive toys. It.s such a waste of money. I also had little wind up toys. And cheap tops to spin. And little cars you pull back on and the cars go fast and far. Then they would buildcities out of blocks and little miniature people. All toys I'd find at thrift stores. We had the most fun ever.. Their own parents wouldn.t let them play with kitchen things like I did. But u just let them play with what you have on hand. Those were the good old days. Now they think staring at a screen is so much more important than having a real live grandma in their lives. When I was young I didn.t have a grandma. One was too old. And the other one loved her God. More than she did her own grandkids.
Dyson, if you end up reading this, give whoever thought of creating a child's vacuum a serious raise.
For that person is absolutely brilliant.

Anderson is great. My son Andrew is four. He LOVES shoes and vacuums, too!

I just love everything about Anderson Cooper. How he turned out to be such a wonderful seemingly down to earth, intelligent man with integrity despite his unusual childhood is amazing. Strong argument for Nature over Nurture. I'm not saying he didn't have a good mom, because he speaks so lovingly of her, but let's face it, not many 10 yr old kids' parents are bringing them to Studio 54 to hang with Michael Jackson. He definitely had an unusual childhood, not saying it was bad or good..... just different😊

My baby is like that too. But his interest is not shoes, but taxi. He looks at photos and notices taxis somewhere in the background.

I’m not usually into celebrities but oddly enough, I would really be disappointed to find out Anderson was a “pr**k” to everyday folk , when off camera. He just seems like such a sweet guy.

It must be a thing. Several people on here have mentioned it, and my grandson is the same, in that they love shoes and vacuums (and other cleaning supplies) when they are toddlers. Interesting.
Do you think that it might be because up until then, what do babies see a whole lot of?! If they are on the ground, they see shoes! That is what is at their eye level when they are on the ground, so it could be kind of a comfort thing as well!
If they have spent the first year or 2 looking at a lot of shoes, maybe there is a comfortable familiarity about them!!
Vacuum cleaners?! Well, again, they are something that is at a baby’s eye level and probably the first machine that makes all this noise, that they see in their lives a lot of the time!
Who knows?! Maybe there is something to my theory, maybe not! 🙏🏼

It hurts my heart that I recently realised that one of my best friends of 24 years, has gone down into a very deep mine of Facebook conspiracy theories. This is someone who is extremely intelligent, who has got a university degree, and unfortunately because I have been living on the other side of the world for the last 12 years, our communication hasn't been all that frequent for the last year or 2.
Of all the people in the world, she is the last person I would have thought about losing her mind over a stupid conspiracy theory!
Ugh, it really hurts my head and my heart to even think about her right now.

LOL If you don't understand the craziness of this, look up Jack Whitehall and travels with My Father (Michael Whitehall) This is so uncanny!!! BTW, my nephew when he was little loved cleaning stuff. It was actually on his Christmas list. He is a grown young man now and he leaves the shower so gross! The hairball on the shower drain looks like a dead, wet rat! It's just horrible, nonetheless, he takes out the garbage and washes dishes! Just want to give you a heads up, Anderson!
