Underrated as a pure point guard because of his ability to score at will in the clutch along with having extraordinary shooting range would overshadow his passing ability and court vision .
Van Exel and Rod Strickland should've had bigger than life careers a la Iverson. Once the Zoning rules changed, the PG position changed forever. They were 15 years too early. No doubt in my mind Nick could've had a HOF career in today's league.

Sure other guards have better crossovers, are quicker, smarter, could shoot better etc. But his jerking stop and go style without stopping his dribble makes him unguardable.
